MJ faced Magic at the end of his career. Durant's smack dab in the middle of his prime.

Both Spurs teams, 2015 and 2016 GS...all statistically better than any team MJ faced. The only argument otherwise is just your "feeling" if you will.

Anybody's opinion on the matter is their "feeling"

How many times have we seen a team on paper get blown out by an "underdog"? It happens all the time in every sport

Stats don't prove anything despite what you may think. They are useful and shed light on things you may not pick up on but that's it.

He was still MAGIC... I never said he wasn't effective... but he was still 31 with a lot of games on those legs..... hell even the GREAT Lebron is an old 32......

And I'll say this till the day I die..... Magic>>>>>>Lebron.......

The only time Lebron deserves heat is the Mavs series. Heat should have won that series but Lebron sucked by his standards. Every other time his team really didn't have much of a chance and getting to the finals with that fist Cleveland team is arguably more impressive than anything else Jordan or Lebron ever did.

Also, I don't really like Lebron but what he does is ridiculous.

If either
A. MJ had Lebrons physical abilities
B. LeBron had MJ's competitiveness

This wouldn't be a discussion.

MJ wasn't as much of a freak of nature as LeBron is. Given his physical ability, he could be the unquestioned GOAT.

Yes, and one can be backed by data, and the other cannot. Would you agree with that?

In the NBA playoffs...very rarely. Almost never when you add "blown out"

Jordan never had the ability to beat a team better than his team ever. When he had the opportunity he got curb stomped in east multiple times.

Well they are far more useful than using our subjective observations and memory.

He is an interesting stat. LeBron played 5 games in the current finals (1-4) and Jordan played 5 games in the 91 finals against Lakers (4-1). They both had a 29.4 game score average, which puts then in the top 5 for a finals series. Standardizing it to 48 minutes, LeBron averaged a 33.3 game score compared to Jordan's 32.7.

The thing is, the Bulls had a collective game score average of 88.3 while the Cavs had a collective average of 77. So subtracting Jordan and LeBron's contributions, and standardizing it to 48 minutes per player, the LeBron's teammates had an average game score of 11.6 whole Jordan's teammates had an average of 13.1.

This means, on average, LeBron provided 2.9 times more value than his teammates while Jordan provided 2.5 times more value than his.

So clearly the difference wasn't that Jordan played better than Lebron, it's that Jordan's teammates played significantly better than LeBron's (plus the Warriors being the greatest team of all time).
