We’ve heard of graphics though. You never answered the question, is a 75% on target rate good?

You can show an example, but an example or two don’t make trends. On none of the deep throws to chase Monday we’re they under thrown.

He under threw one ball against Oklahoma.

I can’t remember an under throw against UGA or bama.

I have never heard an analyst criticize burrow for it, even the fox guys. I’m not saying he’s some elite physical specimen a la Lawrence, but he has a big enough arm and is deadly accurate

OP is a bad troll or an idiot. He was absolutely melting about trump yesterday on the rant.

For some reason, I wandered over the SEC Rant yesterday. There was a good PFF article.

quote:

1. JOE BURROW – LSU
Preseason Rank: 17; Week 6 Rank: 1; Week 12 Rank: 1
There has never been a season quite like Burrow’s season in 2019. Not Mayfield. Not Newton. Not Tebow. Not Winston nor Mariota. No season in history has a quarterback risen the way that Burrow did in 2019, and his season was capped by a National Championship victory over Clemson. No season in history has been as decorated as Burrow’s. No season has anyone dominated a set of statistics or advanced analytics the way Burrow did in 2019. You have to search long and hard to find a category that Burrow isn’t the highest-graded player in the PFF data. He’s the highest-graded player on throws 10 or more yards downfield, the highest-graded player under pressure, the highest-graded player on horizontal leads, the highest-graded player in the first quarter, the most accurate quarterback we’ve ever charted. The list could go on and on for Burrow and his historic season in 2019 to 2020, but I’ll leave you with the following statement. When the grading criterion for the rest of the quarterbacks went as such: “Where did he rank next to Burrow?” – you know just how special of a season it was for Broadway Jeaux, Joe Burreaux.

PFF Season Grades for FBS QBs.

Since people seem to think those first two clips are the only examples of underthrows by Burrow, here is another just for the hell of it.

LINK

And what do you know? That one was caught too. Wonder if that would be considered an "On-Target Pass" by SIS too.

Clearly you dont remember the first touchdown of the game then.

Maybe this was an "intentional underthrow" by Burrow. But dont act like he hit him in stride.

So now you have three

I can show you 4 perfect deep balls from the Clemson game alone

Fact it, Burrow is more accurate with the deep ball than most Qbs.

Probably not as it wasn’t on target

Why does that look much more like a back shoulder type throw than an under throw?

They won't be a problem. NFL OC's will work around it.

Arm strength is important in the NFL but not nearly as important as intelligence, timing, and accuracy when throwing in windows or vs man coverage

There’s a decent chance it was since Diggs was on Chase’s hip.

Joe does this on purpose. He avoids overthrows in order to give his guys a chance.

It’s a non issue.

Do you really think a guy who has primarily lived north of the Mason-Dixon line his entire life and attended Ivy League schools gives AF about LSU? He is PANDERING. Trump is desperate for a winning sports team to show him love and LSU fans have been happy to oblige. I don't necessarily care if fans want to slob his knob but the players should not be forced to tacitly support a man I know most of them personally don't agree with.

That has no place in this thread. His hatred of trump has no bearing on his poorly formulated opinion here

That was a very true statement but not relevant here. Glad to see you are still bothered by it though.

Do you have any metrics or data to show Burrow underthrows or misses deep balls at a higher percentage than other qbs?

Because all the data and metrics available to be show he has a better accuracy on deep balls

intentional back shoulder throw

That was not a back shoulder throw. Do you know what a back shoulder throw is? A back shoulder throw would have been towards the sideline away from Diggs. That was a 50-50 ball that Chase won. If Diggs located the ball right he could've picked it off.
