NBA Jrue Holiday's wife. She's a former olympic and professional soccer player herself.

Self bragging about how awesome of people they are.
Only their kids make friends in places.
Its so difficult for them to move cities and continue to invest themselves in places where her husband is continuing to make 30 + million a year.

PS, his career gtd earnings are right under 300 million at this point. I hope his family is able to endure these times.

Of which 3 Holiday siblings are earning nba guaranteed millions playing in this wretched league that treats players only as dollar commodities.

I mean you don't have to react at all. She's upset that her family has to completely uproot themselves from the community they've gotten accustomed to in order to move another city.

Not really a big deal.

Can his family just stay in Milwaukee, and Jrue rent out a condo in Boston or something? I don’t get the big uproar from his wife.

She can be upset but what sympathy is she's thinking we are to return while she's sending out this grand noble message of blah blah blah about the business side of sports/nba.

That’s what the money is for!

Eta: this is so soft. This is professional sports. That’s the deal. It is cut throat. Not everything is rainbows and roses. The best of the best make it to pro sports and it is a massive sacrifice to get there and stay.

ETA: what is she looking for? She may never be able to watch moneyball again. The most famous scene is them treating players as if they’re nothing more than numbers on a piece of paper.

If anything this proves that money doesn’t solve all problems. Sure they obviously have more resources than a normal person but kids going to new schools, having them make new friends, you making new friends; those are all things where money doesn’t come into play

ETA: I don't feel sorry for them though but I can see where she's coming from

I don't have a problem with.

I mean, do you not agree that it would suck to have your life uprooted without earning. Especially when you've been invested in a community. Helped the team win a championship. Not even a heads up.

there is nothing about making 35 and 37 million dollars to play 80 something basketball games next 2 years. He still gets paid 100% if he gets hurt and has to sit on the bench. He has no chance of losing his earnings the next 2 years. There is absolutely nothing about their situation i want to hear them bitch about. They can afford a mansion house in every city they built roots in.

OP wants us to be mad that this person making millions to play sports isn't happy to uproot their entire life and kids lives with 0 warning. It's an unfortunate side of the business but as a GM it doesn't help to tell players you are shopping them so I understand.

Im sure they will make new friend

She's 100% lying.

Jrue posted he wanted to be a Buck for life the day he was traded. That was not a coincidence.

I know it's commonplace in pro sports, but imagine if your company just called you right now and said they were moving you to a different city with no heads up. You would be pissed too, so I see where she's coming from.

I should also add that he played in New Orleans for 8 years and I don’t think his family lived here full time. They can continue to live in Milwaukee if they like it there.
