The umps do t get punished for sucking is the problem. There is no reason for them to change.

We have got to do better at shooting balls away from the shift. When a team plays three infielders on one side of second base there is absolutely no excuse not to focus going away from it unless the pitcher throws every single pitch to the shift side of the plate. No excuse.

NO ONE in the MLB focuses on shooting balls the other way when the shift is on. It’s not just Houston tonight. It blows my mind that professional baseball hitters don’t take the time to learn how to go the other way on the shift.
