Those were all technically balls sure. But I would not be bitching if they didn’t gift Tanaka strike 1 against Bregs and that was a lot worse than some of those. Just so fits how everybody expects this game to go

I would have had no problems being more upset with greinke and the walks had bregman’s first pitch not been called a strike when it wasn’t. None of greinke’s pitches that were close were technically strikes either. But after the ump established what an outside strike was, every single one of those pitches could and should have been called.

Sanchez is more lost than anyone I have ever seen
to add: swung right through a 91 belt high fastball then chased a garbage changeup that was never close to being a strike. My lord

I wonder if Smoltz spends the time between innings brushing his teeth to get the taste of Yankee dick out of his mouth.

Worried after seeing Greinke miss down the middle a few times.

Astros have had three hitters with better contact than the Yanks, make that four. They just aren’t falling yet.

Yankees getting every break so far. Tanaka is so smoke and mirrors. 3 balls have been hit hard and nothing to show for it. Plus, he’s got the ump calling every close pitch a strike.

Greinke was total dogshit. I don't know what the ump called for Tanaka, but every single call for Greinke was correct on Gameday.
