Sorry but the guy that got punched started the whole thing with the face shove. This isn't a game of tag where you can call no tag backs or something. Turning your head away isn't some cheat code against retaliation after you initiate an altercation.

The kid who got punched was several steps into walking away. A sucker punch is a sucker punch.

I guess you are from the two wrongs make a right school.

Normally I wouldn't support a punch like that but this one was deserved.

o you think you would have fared any better being hit from behind, having no idea that a punch was coming?

Brother, I would have took it fine. I knocked some redneck out in a bar once and his girlfriend blindsided me with her pocketbook that felt like it had bricks in it. I took it with no issues then knocked her out too to the horror of everyone in there. You seem to not understand what FAFO is. That's what this kid did and I can guarantee you he won't ever do that again just like I can assure you 20 years later that girl hasn't hit anyone in the face with a pocketbook. You have to teach people like that lessons otherwise they will continue their behavior(s). In before ThAT DiDN't HaPPen Reeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

It. Does. Not. Matter.

Its irrelevant. BTW wrestlers are some of the most disciplined nicest people I know and none of the ones I went to high school would have acted like that after a win. Its just stupid and that kid got what he deserved. Act like you have been there before.

So, like the guys who pull out a gun and shoot someone because "he disrespected me!"

A chick with a purse is exactly the same.

You seem to not understand what an appropriate response is. But hey, you do you.

Neither of those follow; you cannot assure anyone that it will not happen again. I know this because I have seen FAFO not fix stupid before. I suspect you have, too.

Everything you saw there and the reaction afterward is a microcosm of our deteriorating society. The kid who pushed the other's head down should have been appropriately penalized, maybe DQ'd. The kid who threw the sucker punch should be banned from competition. Neither is likely to happen. People should not be glorifying what the second kid did.

Of course, that is just my opinion.

That's fricked up, take the win and get up, shake your opponent's hand, get off the mat.

"Win with dignity, lose with grace"

In one instance, a punch is used in retaliation of unwanted physical contact. In the other instance, a gun is used in retaliation of disrespect. That's a horrible analogy

Sure it does. I wrestled for a long time and still watch college wrestling and that type of pushing or shoving happens to send a message but nobody gets so bent about it that they throw punch.

My kid has been wrestling since he was 9, He's 17 now, as many matches as I've seen, I've never seen a kid do that after the match was over...

I've seen shove offs, hell, my kid has done it, but never a shoved face in the mat.
