on da team:
guards:
1. Bryant
2. Paul
3. Williams
4. Iguodala
5. Westbrook
forwards/centers:
6. Anthony
7. James
8. Durant
9. Love
10. Bosh
11. Davis
the 12th spot is tough for me... I'd say a toss up between Harden and Gay

I thought he was not submitted to FIBA as a participating when he was released.

I know they won in 2000, but they didn't have a super team.
1992 and 1996 were STACKED
2000 team had Vince Carter, Kevin Garnett, and ....
2004 team had young Lebron and Carmelo, the ballhog, and Duncan and ...
2008 was STACKED and 2012 will be STACKED (World is FUUUUCCKED!)
Sorry if I forgo anyone's fave players from 2000 and 2004 but the rosters were pretty ho-hum if that is all I can think of off the top of my head and can pretty much name everyone on the 1996 team.

That team had Baker, Houston, Allen, Carter, Payton, Kidd, and Smith I thought?
Then Shariff got time because Mourning left and came back for birth of a kid??

Melo could never dribble.again and I.would be fine. He's so overrated and selfish. You know why he didn't get lebron hate even though he did far worse?because he isn't that good
Posted on 6/23/12 at 2:49 pm to sms151t
yeah, but compare that to 1996 with the Admiral, Barkley, Shaq, Malone, Stockton, the Glove, Reggie, the Dream, Pippen, Grant Hill, and Penny.

Lamar Odom needs to be as far away from that team as possible

IMO, the 94 team in Toronto/Hamilton was best team they've had. They were just amazing in talent and brash.

I agree. On paper, he is perfect for international play but his mind is terrible for team chemistry.

Oh yeah, Nique, Shaq, Zo, and Kemp were pretty unstoppable together.

I don't think what he did was "far" worse. His old team won that trade,IMO. Also, Melo might be the most versatile scorer in the league, has never missed the playoffs and was a Top 2 player (behind Kobe) on the Redeem Teams last run. I do agree with you that he is selfish with the Knicks. Would he have respected George Karl more if Karl had a ring? Seems like someone just needs to put his arse in line. Chauncey and Karl did it for half a season when the Nuggets looked like the future of the WC three years ago. Of course that's a lifetime in the NBA.

second best team ever, imo.

Agreed. What howard is doing is far worse than both of them imo

He will pop in so he can answer..I agree with u that's 2nd best team ever.
But according to my irl bff sfp, the game has evolved and no sports previous generation was better. So is everyone wrong in saying the 90s dream team was best ever? Isn't that impossible since talent always evolves up? In the debate who would win 90 vs present..to that logic this.years team is best ever

I would think the 94 team would have taken the Dream Team to the wire. Jordan and Magic are the reasons. I see Kobe as this teams Jordan. He doesn't want to score he wants to lock down, and if they need a score it's GTFO my way.

Melo was a bitch for no reason on a good team
!and yes Howard is by far the worst

I still don't get the Blake Griffin hate.
I don't care if he is a one trick pony, if that trick leads to 20 and 10 a game. He is good.
