Griffin is a rebounder and my issue with him is the Hersey Hawkins John Thompson deal. Hersey got hurt and no more scorers Thunder Dan was pitiful. They had Smith, Coles, Marjele, and Hawkins at Guards and got limited. If a big gets hurt, Griffin limits them, IMO.

I don't care if he is a one trick pony, if that trick leads to 20 and 10 a game. He is good.

Because hes the 2nd best player on his team. When the ball isn't given to him every 3rd or 4th play, whats his value? He will NOT be looked at for scoring purposes.

He doesn't need to be on TEAM USA

He gets away with a push off on every dunk in the lane. He clears it out with off arm..every time even when no one is around. Thats how he gets to the basket so much

IF you touch him...he just got hit by a truck no matter if you breath on him. If you watched any Hornets vs Clips game the hate is very easy to see. They tried to call a flag 2 on Vasquez..reviewed it...they didnt even call a foul. People hate floppers

The team can get on top 10 plays without him. He adds nothing significant to the team

sn't that impossible since talent always evolves up?

rules changes, technology/coaching/fitness improves....talent doesn't. A lot of the 80s/Dream Team stars grew up without a three point line so naturally they did shoot outside as much. Doesn't mean that would be the case coming up in today's game.

I'm not saying I'm right. Just food for thought.

and I feel kind of bad that you put with SFP IRL. I'm sure he's a pain in the arse.

Is Colangelo in charge of setting the team or is it a combined effort?

Coach K is done after London, so who is the next WC and Olympic coach? I don't think Pop will make a 4 year commitment, and he is my choice.

"Hey jake buy me a beer this round I got you next"
"YOu know I defended a guy who had the same thing happen and the friend never bought him another round..i'm a lawyer"

I dunno about Melo .... Guy is a team killer. However he did make the bronze and gold(2004 adn 2008 teams).

I would like to see Davis make the team! But the only way I can see him making it is as a gimmick publicity stunt like in 2004; where 3 rookies made the team.

04 wasn't a gimmick, none of the big name players would go, cited security reasons. It was Kobe, Shaq, and crew.

PG: Deron, CP, Westbrook
SG: Kobe, Iguodala (due to Wade's injury)
SF: Durant, Melo
PF: James, Love
C: Bosh, Chandler (due to Howard's injury)

The last spot could go to Gay, Harden, or Blake Griffin. Iggy and Chandler are the two main beneficiaries. I guess Westbrook, too, since Rose would have been chosen over him.

They should put more young guys ready to bust arse in the roster and less jaded superstars. Add Kenneth Faried to the team for some bench work. That guy won't let you down. Anthony Davis is an interesting idea too. And if you're really trying to win and already have durant, kobe, and lebron, I'd go with a pass first pg like Rondo. JMO.

Too bad Chicago didn't get the 16 games, K would have stuck around to coach in his hometown. I think Doc, Spo, or Brooks are the likely candidates in that order.

I really think there are 2 spots up for grabs.

Wade's spot: Gay, Westbrook, Harden, Gordon

Howard's spot: Griffin, Odom, Davis

– I really don't think Gay goes simply because he is a watered down version of Lebron/Durant. Harden may want to clear his head with some time off after that god awful finals. The fact that Gordon and Westbrook played on the 10 Worlds team gives them an edge. From there it will depend whether you want a 3rd PG or a shooter off the bench.

– While Odom did play in the Worlds 2 years ago and excelled as a center, his form has really fallen off since. I don't think he has a chance. It then comes down to Griffin and Davis. Both would be novelty picks that would grab a few extra fans to watch. The question is who do you think would better be help in the frountcourt.
