Funny. Because the Pelicans are about to beat the Cavs who are the other defending NBA champion who has the best player on the League who formerly played for the Heat.

Winning on the road is tough. And these are the dog days of the season. Liable to see a lot of team losing games they shouldn't between now and the AS break.

I simulated the game 1000 times and it had the Heat winning 21% of the time, average score was GSW 111 Miami 102.
The ML was +720 which translates to about 13%. So according to my model the ML should have been +400, so there was value at +720

Between games 40-55 and the new year and AS break these teams don't have much to play for. The newness of the season has worn off and they are just trying to make it to the all star break. Post all star break is when a lot of these guys turn it up a notch in preparation for the playoffs. In other words if I was a betting man I would bet the home dog every night til the all star break.
