I have learned that I enjoy being there as long as I am midfield and above the first 25 rows.
The Auburn - LSU game last year I watched from the walkway on the very top of the stadium and it was great to be able to see plays develop. I could care less about being closer to the players.
I wouldnt have bought them if I was diagonal or endzone.

I might get Mavs season tickets for next year. They have pretty affordable ones in the lower levels.

Had Houston Aeros season tickets for 3 years until they were run out of Houston by the Rockets ownership.

I have never had full season tickets for a pro team, but for a couple of years me and a buddy bought 1/2 the season tickets for the Redskins from one of his co-workers. A few years later me and a buddy went in with a group of six or eight people and split Nats season tickets.
I liked being in the same seats for a bunch of games b/c they feel like "your" seats and you get to know some of the people around you.
If you have a commitment from someone else (i.e. you are buying one and he/she is buying one) it helps a lot. I wouldn't want to get a pair for myself and then try to find someone every time to go with.
Football is pretty doable since it is only eight home games. For basketball, hockey, or baseball I would not want to attend enough games to make it worthwhile to have them on my own, but going in on a group would be cool.
I really enjoyed the Nats tickets. Me and buddy each got one ticket to like fourteen games. A couple of times during the season we would swap and take someone else, and for the other games we went together and it was a lot of fun. Much cheaper that way than singles so we were able to get pretty good seats for the same price as ok seats would cost one at a time.

Saints season tickets since 2002.
Even though I find watching football on TV better than actually attending, they are extremely worth the money. I just enjoy the people I tailgate with when we go and the people I sit around as well. Most of these people I would not see unless I attend the game. I am actually trying to get more seats around mine.

This. My dad and 3 of his buddies are entering their 35th year as Falcons season ticket holders and I've been going with him pretty regularly for the past 10 years. You definitely build a camaraderie with people tailgating, sitting in your section etc...even the people working the concessions know you on a first name basis. You'll end up meeting people you look forward to catching up with 8ish sunday's a year.

this is gonna be my family's 10th or 11th year with falcons season tickets. it's pretty dope but my parents moved to ohio and i go to uga and nobody ever wants to pay $40 bucks to go with me at 1 on sunday afternoons so we have sold them a lot in the past 2 years.

New Orleans VooDoo in 2007 and 2008
BUT
I like it better without season tickets bc if they suck (like this year) I don't feel like i'm wasting money by not going
for some teams once you give them up you don't get them back EVER
