Have NBA jerseys lost the traditional look?

With Nike taking over, we’ve had the City jerseys introduced and yearly releases. It seems like when I watch a non-Spurs game, it takes me a second to realize which team is which. I think some of the new looks are nice and catchy, but still not reflective of the normal team look. I feel like it’s a bit much. What happened to the Celtics classic green and white look?

It’s definitely overdone in terms of variety

It was cool when a team would wear the occasional throwback or alt jersey

I have no problem with team's having alternate unis.

My issue this season is that those alternates are worn significantly more than the regular unis to the point where it seems no team wears there actual colors anymore.

I think I've seen the Lakers in blue and white more than purple and gold this season.

This right here. Alternates were supposed to be special. Seems like the norm now.

A lot of the alternates are trash. Celtics shouldn't wear black.

Each team has like 3 alternate uniforms and they wear them way too much.

Traditions in all kinds of sports are being thrown by the wayside. It sucks. Eventually we will just have barnstorming. Players wearing different jerseys every game so they can sell as many as possible with players reshuffling every game/season.

The concept of the team and the franchise is on its way out (at least mostly in the NBA)

Is the Spurs City a based on athrow back?

Also the Celtics have their classic jerseys still.

Their old logo and court used to feature those colors prior to leaving the Alamodome. They never actually had them on their jerseys, but it’s still a pretty known color scheme for them.

I think The Spurs city is pretty cool.

If seen those colors on Spurs merch and I think it’s pretty identifiable.

Some are weaker than others. The Baby Blue and White Lakers ones suck.

I dont Love the Pelicans’ city.

City series are hit and miss. Pels and Nets have actually grown on me a bit. But those aren’t marquee franchises. Those teams can throw out different looks, but it’s not the same as Lakers or Celtics abandoning their normal looks.

I’m most confused by the bucks blue jerseys makes no sense. The Rockets baby blue is dumb too. The heats half pink blue is stupid. The best one is the suns valley jerseys.

Not sure, but the Memphis Grizz new look with the turquoise and black vancouver style uniforms need to be permanent.

The blue/yellow Memphis look is terrible
