I’m watching some awful game, and I realize the mascot is wearing shoes with a red buckle. Has it always been that way? I feel like I remember claws at one point.

Also, why does a bird wear shoes?

I am so sick of everyone trying to “urbanize” everything. It’s fricking Kansas, get your Jordan shoes out of my face.

Wait.

We're complaining about birds wearing shoes now?

Yes.

Because it’s not a real bird so we can do whatever the fuq we want

If Herky the Hawk from Iowa can have teeth, then Jay can wear shoes.

I'd like to get your opinion on your mascot please.

As you can tell, our bird is appropriately dressed. No shoes.

However our mascot Cocky, pictured below, has yellow feet. And I just can't tell if those are supposed to be shoeless chicken feet or comfy slippers. Hell, it doesn't even match the white feet of our logo.

Thoughts?

It even looks like the bird in the 1912 and 1923 logos is looking down at his shoes like wtf is this?

Then the 1941 bird is rockin those shoes like he just left foot locker and when the sales man asked if he wanted them in the box, he said nah I’ll wear ‘em out
