You do realize full games are available on YouTube, right? Are you suggesting that you had to see someone play in person to judge how good they were?

Yet you have said over and over and Over that Ronnie Lott is the best defensive player in NFL history.......

I'm not backing off that argument, I think Ronnie's the best defensive player in NFL history because he excelled wildly at everything anyone asked him to do from a defensive perspective and possessed no weaknesses, LT was wildly magnificent at defending the run and rushing the quarterback but he wasn't without weakness, his limitation was pass coverage he admitted it himself and that was his reputation outside his enormous strengths. Now if you want to talk about dominance and let's face facts: the front 7 of NFL defenses lends itself more to dominating a football game more than the back 4 because of the aggressive nature of defensive line and linebacker concepts in penetrating the backfield, LT, JJ Watt, Von Miller, Deacon Jones and Reggie White are the most DOMINANT defensive players that have ever played the sport. If I had to choose between LT and Ronnie Lott and only one, I'd choose LT because of the dominance factor, I can compensate for average to mediocre pass coverage if he penetrates the backfield as easily and swiftly as he did, force the offense into 2nd and 18 or what have you and make it easier on the other defenders. That's a major benefit of having LT, it enabled players like Carson, Banks, Leonard Marshall and others to perform well and dominate games if the entire offense is focused on stopping LT and vice versa.

There is more to it than that..... Different circumstances week to week and what games were more important at the time.. Just different ways to look at it....

Now if you were to watch the whole 1986 season and the 1985 season the can be an argument that the 1986 Giants were better than the 1985 Bears.....

Stats just don't do those teams justice.. IMO the Giants were more of A complete team.......

Can tell you one thing: both the 1985 Chicago Bears and 1986 New York Giants defenses are among the greatest in league history, those defenses could do it all

And the 84 Niners May be better than both of them but never get mentioned because of Miami’s regular season.

Certainly a helluva lot harder to expose the 1986 Giants D compared to the 1985 Bears 46, that D got SHREDDED by Marino that Monday night it was simply unconscionable. Lot of great balance on the 1986 Giants: Burt, Martin, Marshall, LT, Carson, Banks, Reasons and their underchampioned DBs, not too many hold out there

Third Banks and Taylor were better

The Giants Defense got even better when Pepper started playing in 90.

Playing for long time in NYC winning a championship gets him more credit though.

Banks isn’t better than Carson or he’d have more all-pros, Carson was the captain and gained more all-pros plus he’s a real great MIKE linebacker, can’t run on him unless you’re diminishing him to elevate Banks

You know something I can’t even say Banks is better than Carson without the accolades to justify it, they were simply both great players who did their jobs extremely well and to say Banks did his better than Carson is disingenuous beyond a reasonable doubt and downright silly.

Just stop, please. Banks is the better LB and player.

We’ve been over this before, a few weeks ago.

I’m done discussing it with you. Go read what I posted when you got your pampers in a wad last time.
