I don't think I need to talk about how bad the Knicks are.

Then they get a Pacers team in round 2 led by all world Danny Granger who lit up the statbook this year with a whopping 18ppg. Their second leading scorer averaged less than 13 ppg. Awful.

Finally, they get a depleted Celtics team in the conference finals. This is a team that was taken to a game 7 in the 2nd round by one of the worst teams to ever make the playoffs in the Philadelphia 76ers. Not to mention this team was riddled by injuries and start 2 guys who have been around since Robert fricking Parish was still playing.

Meanwhile, the OKC Thunder went through three teams that have won 10 of the last 13 NBA Titles while only losing three games. Pretty much the complete opposite of Miami.

2nd best record in the entire NBA post-All Star break.

So, Boston is old and depleted but Dallas and the Lakers are thought of as champions who have won a bunch of titles so there road has been tough to go through?

Boston was a tougher opponent than Dallas or the Lakers.

Old and depleted.

But the Mavs, who were barely a .500 this year, apparently are a tough former champion.

hell, the Pacers were better than Dallas this year.

It was an honest question. Name a team that's had an easier path. I can't think of one. No one was talking about how good Boston was before this series started. All I heard was Miami would sweep or win 4-1. But now that they took Miami to 7 games they are all of the sudden this great, formidable opponent?

Well that is their faults for not recognizing they had the 2nd best record in the NBA after the break.

No, they were all along.

Like I said, in your OP, you characterized LAL and DAL has former champs who were tough outs, but BOS as an old and depleted team. That simply wasn't so.

That's because they weren't. They got somewhat healthy half-way through the series. Ray Allen went from shooting 25% from 3 and 65% from the FT line in the Philly series and in games 1-2 to shooting nearly 50% from 3 and 90%+ from the FT line in the final 5 games. Same with PP, etc.

When the Celtics can hit shots they're a good team. They just hadn't been hitting open 3s all playoffs, until they played Miami.

And plenty of teams have had easier paths. That 07 Cavs team was terrible and was able to get through the East. That's how terrible the other teams were.

Miami was penciled into the finals on the first day of the playoffs when Derrick Rose went down.

Sure they had issues along the way, but do you really think that Indiana team or this depleted Celtics team would really win a 7 game series vs the Heat?

I don't recall anyone saying Miami would breeze through the Celtics.

And you're acting like its Miami's fault their path was "easy".

You don't like LeBron we get it.

I think the East is the weakest its been in a long time. I never thought the East would win the finals this year. The West teams are just a caliber above. Chicago had the best chance of competing for the east and when Rose went down that was the end of that.

I don't know how not having your big man for most of the last 2 series makes it an easier road to the finals.
