Probably not. However, bad WR can lose a game for you.

o Smith caught an easy slant and raced to the EZ in OT and that means he did it all by himself?
Moose nearly had 350 receiving yards that same post season.

Steven Davis nearly had 1500 rushing yards that season as well. Get out of here.

Heres the deal: OP's inquiry was stupid because of how dependent receivers are on their QB so the logical deduction/interpretation is what receiver made such a difference in their team's quest for a championship that, without them, the team's quarterback wouldn't have compensated sufficiently with play? I submitted Hutson and Smith BC:

Hutson
-a transcendent player without whom the passing game doesn't develop or even remotely evolve
-most dominant player of his era
-gained more yards as a receiver per year than entire teams' passing attacks
-really elevated Arnie Herber and the Lambeau Packers due his ability as a deep threat and consistency
-his receiving essentially accounted for +50% of the Packers passing attack then, he basically was the offense with his proficiency

Smith
-Delhomme's the QB, he ain't TB12 and Peyton now, lets not kid ourselves he made Delhomme in all respects that season with his performance
-supporting cast from a mainstream perspective consisted of a bunch of no-name role players
-accounted for the 2nd most prolific receiving postseason in league history at that time
-won the double-overtime game by "doing it all by himself" in finishing that slant play and outrunning the defense

Only WR I can think of that came close to carrying a team was T.O. in Philly. I know they didn’t win, but he carried that team as much as one player could from the WR position.

Maybe Rocket Ishmael in college?

Rocket’s Notre Dame teams were loaded. 1990 Notre Dame had a future Hall of Famer and like twelve future first rounders in addition to Rocket.

The stats from that game are pretty wild Bradshaw completed 9 passes for 204 yards and won the super bowl

He really did.

It would probably be difficult to find a WR that's done more for a team at the collegiate level.

Dont think football is a sport where one player can carry a team. Doesnt matter how good they are.

Basketball is the only sport that ive seen where one player can carry a team. Like lebron last year carrying the cavs to the finals.

A transcendent QB can almost pull it off. Think of Vick at VT. But even then, the QB has to rely on the OL and WRs and of course there still must be a defense.

A great pitcher can take over a single game and even affect a series. Bumgarner carried the Giants to a World Series Title a few years ago.

Elway in the late 80s, Dan Marino in 84, Fouts in the early 80s, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Johnny Unitas, Jurgenson, Namath, guys like that

Yeah. Even Elway needed Terrel Davis and Marino never quite got there.

James Harden certainly carried the Rockets to a loss in Game 7 of the WCF last year. Couldn’t hit a three to save his life.

Vince young and maybe cam at qb in college.

Even cam in the NFL has put up some good seasons with minimal stars around him on offense.

In the Eagles run to Super Bowl with Andy Reid, TO, did as much as one could to lead his team to a title from WR spot.

He was a man among boys during that run.

He was incredibly integral to them securing the NFC 1 spot as he submitted as a good a season a WR could have to the point of his injury, however he was out the playoffs until the Super Bowl so the rest of the team got them to the Super Bowl both technically and practically

Even then, VY had a great team around him and Cam doesn’t get a NC without Fairley.
