Explains his release and why he hasn't been picked up. No story yet, but Michele McPhee is a solid journo.

Fentanyl trafficking probe

Update

Hanley's friend used his name to try and avoid arrest.

quote:

A friend of former Red Sox first baseman Hanley Ramirez dropped his name in an effort to avoid arrest while transporting fentanyl from New York to Massachusetts in April, then immediately admitted the player had no connection to the drugs, according to documents filed in US District Court in Boston. Ramirez is not under federal investigation and has not been linked to any drug ring, according to several people with direct knowledge of the case. The 34-year-old has been a free agent since the Red Sox released him on June 1.

His release was pretty well explained by being all around bad the last couple of years and being owed a ton of money if he did make a certain amount of at bat's.

Haven't got far past the ice cream "sangwich" caller. They have hinted at it some since he was released

Twitter says a friend of his was pulled over with an assload of fentanyl and the friend FaceTimed HanRam in the presence of police. Oh, Hanley also connected to a murderer in the Dominican Republic a few summers ago

The cuts from that interview will be dropped more than Curtis' "I can set the diolague for the city."

Its one of the best show moments in since Minihane's Roy Halladay "Protest"

Was the murderer also a professional baseball player? If so, I think I might know him.

Probably not, though. I just assume every Dom is somehow connected to a murder. frickers are nuts.
