It is more than likely that only Zachary out of the top division and class title finalists would have had a good chance to get to the combined old system championship.

I thought De La Salle was the best team, and U-High absolutely throttled them. Karr had problems with teams with similar-level athletes. U-High wins going away

Special teams was the difference this year. Zachary kicked 3 FGs and beat Destrehan by 2. They kicked 3 FGs-45-40-29 plus got the ball at the 1 yard line for a TD on a botched punt. 16 points from special teams and beat WM by 2. Hahnville had 2 KR to beat Acadiana in OT. Catholic had 2 FGs to beat Curtis today.

A fight broke out in the Zachary student section. The cops had to come over and restore order. This is like the 4th time they've come over. Those kids are OOC

A lot of years, the championship isn’t in the Dome. There’s usually a game a long the way that’s a lot tougher than the finals for the Champ.

Many times Acadiana is one of those teams that play in that game that is the title game before the dome. Tough matchup every year

Not sure who downvoted that but I don't see how anyone can argue U-High being the best team in the state.
Not only beat but pretty much handled the best teams in 5A, D1, DelaSalle (which handled Karr).
I don't see how anyone can claim U-High isn't the best overall team in the state at this point.
