I think this is the first time I’ve watched a game at length when he was calling it.
Never really been annoyed by him until today. Just constantly acting like the last play just won the game.

My only complaint is that his play call is so often just repeating the players name until the play is finished and then emoting either way after the play.

Gus is fine…when the moment calls for his enthusiasm (see the wild NCAAT UCLA v Gonzaga basketball game several years back). Unfortunately, he’s become FAR too over the top at unnecessary moments. It’s like Joe Tessitore on MMF. When EVERYTHING is a huge play…nothing is a huge play
