That is exactly what we have been arguing. You, personally, have been complaining that I have a problem with that very thing.

I have been telling you that you don't have a right to tell someone that their reasoning for forming an opinion on someone/something isn't "good enough" just because you don't agree with it.

Do you need me to walk you through how that's not even remotely similar to what's going on now?

I stated that I didn't think that they were good reasons for thinking someone was a douche. Its called a difference in opinion. Why are you so hung-up on this?

So, you told people their reasons for thinking he was a douche weren't good reasons......

How is that different from:

quote:

you don't have a right to tell someone that their reasoning for forming an opinion on someone isn't "good enough"

That's right, it's not any different. Glad we've cleared that up.

One person in this thread has brought up other posters by name, you. Now you're asking why others are "hung up"?

Of course you do, that's what this message board is all about.

It's just my opinion, man. No big deal.

So because I mentioned an active participant in this thread, that means that I'm hung-up. Got it.

I wasn't disagreeing with your opinion, I was disagreeing with your actions.

Well, according to you responding to someone is this thread is being hung up. So, by your standards calling them out by user name is downright obsessed.

This thread had so much promise to be awesome and incredible. Then it just insisted on itself so much over and over with so much seriousness that it just pisses you off. It makes you hate would should be appreciated for being great (the man pointed to the scoreboard for God's sake!).

What I think I'm saying is this is the JJ Watt of threads.

Watt posted SnapChat videos with timestamps that show him working out in his Wisconsin gym at 10:34 p.m., then shutting down the lights at 11:03 p.m. and posting a message about working out instead of watching basketball.

quote:

"Kobe Bryant got to where he is by working his (butt) off. By showing up early, staying late," Watt said in the video. "Workouts like tonight are inspired by Mamba. I want to get like Mamba not watch him."

quote:

And that's what set Stugotz off. On Thursday's show, he said: "Get over yourself, man. Seriously. Why do you have to make their night - Kobe's night and Steph (Curry's) night - about J.J. Watt? And, I don't believe you for one second that you were there lifting weights and working out rather than watching the basketball. I don't believe him for one second. That's what bothers me about him. He's a phony and he's a fraud. So, you can take a picture of yourself working out and post it on Instagram, and then tell everyone that you're not watching Kobe and Steph? You can do that, but my bet is that he posted that while watching Kobe and Steph."

exactly. just like how his PR team leaked the "Cabin" story

if he was really all about work and just work, we wouldn't even know about it

the fact that we see it ALL THE frickING TIME shows it's just marketing and nothing more

Marketing himself is part of his job.

People disliking him is silly. He seems like a good guy and he does a lot of good things for the community.

He's a douche for being serious but Kobe and Westbrook are considered animals. They all have PR teams, agents, etc. I think JJ comes off far more likeable than someone like Westbrook. Obviously Russ wants plenty of attention or he wouldn't dress like Tom Brady's wife in press conferences or wear photographer outfits to pregame.
