As someone said above, it used to be illegal.
In the famous Ice Bowl picture it appears Mercein is signaling a touchdown. In fact, he had his hands up to show he was not pushing Starr into the end zone as it would have been a penalty.

Leave the tush push in.
Enable defense to do same thing.
It’s football, not love-making… Be a man and stop it. The league needs to ensure the playing field is level on this play.

That's how I feel about football rules changes. For many years, so many rules were changed to benefit the offense. Allowing the tush push was just another thing to help the offense.
I realize most fans hope to see lots of scoring, but enough is enough!

I am in favor of this. I don’t like the QB sneak tush push except for when it benefits the Saints, which is rare.
