I forgot about Karl Malone dropping Diamond Cutter on Curt Henning to keep him from interfering with the match.

The crowd pop at that diamond cutter followed by the quick cut to Goldberg in the spear stance still gives me chills. Schiavone's call on the jackhammer too, Goldberg taking his time and Heenan "Do it! Do it!", then when Hogan went vertical Schiavone with the "HE'S GOT HIM UP!!!", then the oh hell yeah you could tell was real. WWF had already taken over just the atmosphere by that point but that crowd just losing their minds throwing shite in the ring in pure ecstasy was one of the most exciting live things I've ever seen. shite few beers I'm about to watch it again

Bischoff lost me with everybody joining the NWO then everybody joined Wolfpack. It got played out for me after a great story line with the outsiders and Hogan leg dropping Macho Man.

The best matches that a lot of guys had would’ve been an average Bret Hart match. Didn’t matter who he was up against, 99% of his matches were solid. It did not matter if it was a Sean Walthman, a Yokozuna, or a Tom Magee. Bret could work with any style, tell a great story, and get a guy over. His work with Owen was awesome. The Austin and Michaels stuff has been mentioned already. If you want to hear a crowd pop go and watch the Calgary Stampede 10 man tag match during the USA vs. Canada feud. Or dig into the archives to the Calgary days and take a peak at a young Bret Hart facing off against Dynamite Kid.

Personally the match of his I’ll go back and rewatch over and over is Summerslam 1992 at Wembley against Davey Boy Smith. Under the circumstances that one shows the brilliance of Bret Hart and how complete of a performer he was when combining the storytelling, in ring psychology, and physicality.

Wrestlemania X-7. The whole thing.

Bash at the Beach 96.

The outsiders vs Sting, Luger, Macho Man

Hogan is revealed as the 3rd man.

Really ramps up the Monday night wars.

Bret Hart vs Austin from WrestleMania 13

There's video out there somehere on the internets of Austin breaking down the Bret Hart match as he watches it. It's gold.

Cornette also has a voice over commentary on YT somehere of the match.

He kept saying how it was not a WWF cartoon match. It was basically an old Mid-south street brawl that looked nothing like the other WWF matches of the time. That's why it was so good.

I've always enjoyed their Survivor Series match more.

If you're talking about real Wrestling, it is Rulon Gardner's upset of undefeated and un-scored-upon Russian Aleksandr Karelin in the 2000 Olympics in overtime.

This is possibly the greatest upset of all time

Not sure about the fake stuff but I'd say the Undertaker vs Mankind 1998 seems like a good starting point

Besides those mentioned already:

Flair vs Dibiase in mid south (after Ted was lacerated by Murdock pre match, and took a brainbuster on the floor post match, classic angle/double turn)

Any rock and roll/midnight express match

I wasn’t following at the time but did anybody seeing this coming?

Apparently there was a month or so buildup on who the third man was going to be.
