Basically, baseball is as healthy as its ever been!!! The notion that baseball is declining is ridiculous. I've never seen this much elite young talent. MLB needs to invest heavily in marketing their players!!! MLB is absolutely stocked with talent!!

the Twins-Braves in 1991 was pretty good.

I hope the Astros take it!

What are y’all, 10 years old?

Last years was way better than this years in every way. This World Series is just a bunch of shitty pitching and a homerun derby as a result, that doesn’t make it great baseball

Must see tv. And it ain’t over yet! This thing is already high if not top on my list. Just two fantastic (and young) teams going toe to toe and not blinking

Must have forgotten last year. Understandable since we're all still in the moment. After it's all said and done and some time has passed, 2016 will still reign.

If you take away the cubs winning after 118 years or whatever, it's actually just a huge collards collapse by the Indians. It was good but not as exciting from start to finish.

The cubs being attached to that series is going to make it far more overrated than it really was. Just a fact.

Also, this is the first world series since 1970 with two 100 win ball clubs, so there isn't a Cinderella underdog that just got hot at the right time to dethrone better teams. These are pretty much the two best ball clubs from the regular season and that's uncommon in baseball recently.

Lastly, I'll reiterate, remove the cubs effect and the series is seen much differently.

Again, it's easy to forget a lot of great moments. Everyone is still high on adrenalin and is pegging this game as the greatest ever. Game 7 last year was the greatest in a while considering what was at stake for both teams and the incredible game itself. Not saying this series is worse as a whole. There's still a game or 2 to be played but game 7 last year is nearly impossible to beat.

Calling that series last year overrated is quite a reach. You can ask literally anyone without a dog in the fight and they'll disagree. I'm telling you the amount of home runs in this series just has people losing their minds.

2011 was epic

I'm just glad I'm not a Dodgers fan. Talk about chocking away a series

1991 was up there, if you loved pitching.

I know last night was incredible seesaw drama. But, after Kershaw blew 4-0 and 7-4 and seeing all these three run jacks -- I was like ain't nobody other than a Hou/L.A. fan got time for this, and off to bed I went. Game one is more my style.

A million home runs does not equate to a great World Series

You're right. Constant lead changes, great hitting beating great pitching, Astros beating up on yu darvish the guy who owned them before, small ball walking off a home run derby type game last night, altuve launching one at one of the most clutch times, 2 100+ win teams going back and forth in close games, etc make it a great world series.

I'm not saying best ever, but to act like people think it's great just because of home runs is absurd.

The other side of it is obvious he hasn't watched any game besides yesterday. Game 1 was 100% a pitching duel as well as game 2 until the 9th. Game 3 was a well pitched game outside of Darvish and game 4 was a pitchers duel once again until the 9th inning. The pitching until last night had honestly overwhelmed both team. Coming into the game the dodgers were hitting below .200 as a team and the Astros like .235 for the series.
