eta: and to make sure some folks understand me, that Miami-SD playoff game is the GREATEST FOOTBALL GAME OF ALL-TIME

It was crazy and to share my point, I still think of that game occasionally, that is how much is stands out to me, after 30 years

That was a great game. Winslow played his arse off that game as well as many others.

Actually no, it's not that simple.

they lost by 2 points. Even if they muster a FG in the 1st half, they win. Pretty simple.

you cant call it the greatest performance ever when the reason they were down in the first place was because the offense sputtered in the 1st half..

Actually no, had they kicked those FGs the game would most likely not have played out like it did so you don't know that they'd win for sure.
And by the way going for it was the correct call.

Never voiced an opinion on this because I haven't followed football for that long so idk why you're reiterating that to me.

--Michael Irvin against the 49ers in 1994(5) he pwndd Deion Sanders in that game and should have gotten a PI that would have made the game a different game in the 4th qtr when deion mugged him on a deep ball

--Kellen Winslow in that epic game agains the Dolphins I believe it was back in 1980 or so

Wasn't there a guy who got MVP of Super Bowl and team lost? In the 70s or 80s?

A lot of people have mentioned Kurt Warner, but what about his teammate, Larry Fitzgerald?

Fitz was fricking raw the whole postseason.

How, exactly, is it Wilson's fault that his coach elected to go for it and call a fullback dive?

Context matters, you know.

It was college, not NFL,
but Cecil Collins 27-232 vs Auburn (9/20/97) was awful.

I wasn't alive, but I've seen some pretty bad ones that I would think would have been worse than a 16-13 game.

There were 11 turnovers in the game. One of the worst games I have ever seen. Very soppy play on both sides. What saved it from being a total fail was there was last second field goal.

Did someone hack your account? The above post was too coherent to be a typical Peej post.
