The way they played in the 1st half & the handling of the last drive of the half are the reasons Wilson shouldn't be mentioned.

Wilson has nothing to do with the poor decisions on 3rd/4th and 1 in the first half. He got Seattle in position to score a couple times and, with the exception of the sack, couldn't convert based on decisions outside of his control.

While Wilson was hands down the best player on the field, there is just too much competition.

There have been like 5 solid answers that are better than Wilson's. Strock was a great one as well.

Try to live outside of the present moment.

He played good but any points in the first half and they win. Simple.

So it's Wilson's fault that Carroll eschewed the fg attempt when they had 4th and 1 deep in the red zone?

But Marino always put up big numbers through the air.

So for the sake of this particular discussion, you're punishing Marino because he is better than Wilson? Lol, ok.

Ok nostradamus. How do you know one of those 3 other guys wouldn't have already fired the ball off before it came to a scrambling opportunity?

I think if RW performance isn't the best

Look, I may be from Georgia but I don't particularly care for the falcons. I'll root for em, but don't care either way if they win or lose. I say that to say I don't really have a dog in this fight either way. But it's painfully obvious that you are pissed that a team you hate won. Seattle lost, atlanta won. Move on.

I will say that if the Seahawks win the game. Wilson's performance goes down as a classic. That kid is unbelievable and I think the future face of the NFL

I honestly had no idea about the Strock game, and I agree that one sounds better.

But Priest Holmes rushing for 176? No that isn't better than the RW performance.

RW had 60 yards rushing, which puts him over 400 yards of offense, a 67% completion percentage, a 20 point second half comeback on the road, and only a last second desperation turnover.

I still only see one performance better, and that's the Strock/San Diego game.

I have seen a lot of football in my day and that game still ranks in my top 5 ever.

That game had the first hook and ladder I ever saw

Words cannot express how dumb it was. At the time and in retrospect.

You have no idea who I root for. I wanted Atlanta to win last season against NYG and used to root for them here and there during the Vick days. I wanted Seattle to lose ever since Pete Carroll was hired. I'm making valid points.

It's pretty ignorant to assume based on what I type into a computer.

Im saying they didnt score any points in the 1st half against a middle of the road defense

yea, he came back from 20pts, but they were down 20 because they never scored in the 1st half

There have been a lot of playoff games. Im sure some research would have to be done before naming Wilson #1.

Kurt Warner
Super Bowl XLIII
Arizona Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

31/43
377 yds
3 TD
1 INT

However, his one interception was returned 100 yards for a TD. I put this on the table since it was a Super Bowl.

Jake Delhomme also had a good game against the Patriots (outside of the completion %).

it was the greatest football game I have ever seen

Strock is a good one, many solid mentions

If I could, I would ask people to refrain from what happened yesterday (any sport, any time) as being the "greatest ever"

comes across as someone who has a limited view of sports history

:offsoapbox:

eta: and to make sure some folks understand me, that Miami-SD playoff game is the GREATEST FOOTBALL GAME OF ALL-TIME

It was crazy and to share my point, I still think of that game occasionally, that is how much is stands out to me, after 30 years
