The teams they beat in the playoffs were awfully good.
If St. Aug is the best ever LA team, then based on the playoffs 1975 also had 1-2 other top 5 teams of all time......
That seems uncanny to me

ST aug 75 deserves mention with the others.... 90 Ruston, 98 wm et al......style of football changed dramatically over those years.... of all the HS teams I have seen over the years...... 73 capt shreve, 75 st aug, 85 jc, 90 ruston, 98 wm, - eca / jc a couple of other years..... are elite and then some and deserve mention in the same group

If only two teams make playoffs, then 4th vs. 5th in district by definition doesn't matter. The current power rating system was put in place to make 4th vs. 5th in district maybe matter

It mattered because if you had a bad game or 2 you might be sitting home, not like today where teams get in with losing records.

That's why we took playoff spots from districts that didn't deserve them and redistributed them to the ones that did

Team A, 9-1, 1 district loss to team B.
Team B, 1 district loss to 5th place team.
Team C, 1 district loss, am I right?
Wouldn't team B be the champions since they beat A and C? Then the 2nd spot would come down to A and C. You're misremembering something since A and C had to play at some point, and someone would have taken an additional L

I heard they ordered their uniforms from Green Bay Wisconsin or the affiliate org who produced them for the Green Bay Packers.
Captain Shreve HS.. 1974 you mean 1973...
