Not sure if the best but one of the best.
Rummel 2012.
14-0 first schools state title. Between the senior-freshman class of that team they had 20 players go on to play college football at some level.
Some key ones:
Kristian Fulton - NFL now
Chase fourcade - Nicholls state all time QB
Damien Williams - miss state qb
Steve Dunbar - Houston receiver, NFL Practice squads
henre tolliver - nfl practice squads
Cethan carter - nfl active roster

1998 West Monroe, but the 2000 West Monroe team was the most accomplished.

1990 Ruston squad was the best i ever saw. unbelievable number of athletes on the field.
I saw them play many times too and the 1998 West Monroe defense would have been the difference in them playing each other. They dominated every team they played on their way to the National Championship.

2006 John Curtis. 14-0. Beat Hoover on ESPN U at the height of their "2 A Days" fame.
B. Porter - Army
J. McKnight - USC and NFL
Jon. McKnight - Arizona
P. Smith - Nebraska
A. Lauricella - Tulane
K. Cain - TCU
R. Green - Alabama
C. Arcenaux - Ole Miss
L. Jones - ULM
B. Munch - Northwestern LA
A. Nierman - Tulane
J. Dufrene - Kentucky
M. Henry - Tulane
W. Ashburn - Nebraska
J. English - Arizona State
2012 Curtis was loaded also but not like that. All three of their linebackers that year played D1 ball and 2 play in the NFL right now - Duke Riley and Kenny Young.

I probably posted in this thread, but in case I didn’t. In chronological order:
‘90 Ruston
‘98 West Monroe
‘99 Evangel
‘00 West Monroe
That’s the list.

A few years ago didn't a team from U high beat 5 state champions in one year?

Wow. What a bump. Ruston 90 would get my vote. Followed by West Monroe, Evangel, and John Curtis best teams.

This will just be a giant argument. There is absolutely no way to know the answer to this.

Maybe not the best "ever", but the 2012-2013 Curtis team went 16-0, "crowned National Champs" by 247 and Rivals. Beat Evangel in the Dome and beat Plant HS 33-3.
Their starting LB core was Duke Riley and Kenny Young. They also had Malachi Dupre (bust), but also had probably 15 kids play D1 football
