Carr won five Big Ten championships, and in 1997 he guided the Wolverines to their first national title in 49 years. His teams won more than 75% of his games at Michigan, and he was the first coach to direct the Wolverines to four straight bowl victories.

Crazy

They have more wins than any program yet they didn't have a 4 year bowl win streak before him?

Bill Snyder Way to low, #55?

Guy took over the worst CFB program is history of the game, and had them Quarters away from National title games(damn big12 title game)

Has rosters of 2 star kids on 2 deep, and still wins. He also was able to use juco kids to fill spots he needed.

Seriously, what he did at KST is remarkable, and very few on that list could or would even try it and succeed.

I graduated from K-State the year before Snyder was hired. Just in my four years there I watched them lose at home to Austin Peay, Wichita St., and twice to Northern Iowa. We tore down goalposts and had two riots in Aggieville simply for beating dreadful KU teams that may have been the second worst teams in the country behind us those years while I went there. We were halfway to getting booted to the Missouri Valley Conference when Snyder was hired.

I'll say it: any list with Saban at #2 is retarded

I agree, a decade from that to being a play away from getting to the first BCS title. There's really nothing that compares to that

If I get a choice to take Prime Urban or Prime Saban to make a 5 year run, and I dont know what school until after the choice is made, I am taking prime Urban

I think he is the better overall coach. He just gets bored too easily

It took him most of his career to achieve a winning record, and he cheated, making your record for him incorrect.

Also had a losing record in the NFL. He's the Joe Namath of coaches.

Not sure of the time frame that Snyder was hired but I remember a late 80s? Espn talking about the wknds matchups and KSt and KU were playing each other and niether had a win. My dad and I looked at each other and said "Well some one is going to get their first win"....and the game ended in a tie. I don't think either team won a game that yr. So yes Snyder is underrated as per that list

Stallings is as well...going undefeated. Winning that extra SEC championship game and stunning UMiami was huge but he also won a lot of games after losing his first 3 in Tuscaloosa. Prob doesn't have the yrs on the resume to get much higher than 80ish. But shouldn't be in the 120s

He took over an awful Texas A&M team and won the conference in year 3. They won a total of 11 games over the 5 years before he got there. He was also only 30 when he took over at Texas A&M.

Sorry for not caring that a player changed his mind about leaving early.

Good thing this list has nothing to do with NFL careers.

Also won a national championship, which is more than can be said for many of the coaches in front of him.

That game was in 1987, my senior year there. It ended 17-17 tie K-State went 0-10-1 that year and KU went 1-9-1 with their only win being against some 1-AA team that year. The game ended up being known as the Futility Bowl. Snyder was hired at the end of the next season.

The Big 10 had a no repeat rule until the mid 70s and only allowed one member to go bowling. They also wouldn’t let members play in a bowl at all until the 47 season.

Then UF has more than 8 SEC titles. Can’t have it both ways.

You still count wins for Bama that were forfeited or vacated but not for other programs.
