18 second mark

quote:

"Dude just grabbed me out of the air," Caruso said after Friday's game. "It's kind of bulls---. I don't know what else you can do about it. I'm just glad that I didn't have any major scary injuries right away."

Caruso said his wrist continued to bother him in the second half, especially while shooting. He finished 1 of 6 from the field for 3 points in the second half, but said he did not think the injury would linger long-term.

Caruso added that Allen did not come to check on him following the play.

quote:

The foul particularly irked Donovan, who is normally mild-mannered and rarely singles out players. But following Friday's game, Donovan called Allen's actions dangerous and cited his history playing college basketball at Duke.

"For Alex to be in the air and for [Allen] to take him down like that, he could've ended his career," Donovan said. "He has a history of this. That to me was really -- it was really dangerous. I hope the league takes a hard look at something like that because that could have really, really seriously hurt him."

Why someone hasn't hit this a-hole with a high elbow ala Metta world peace/Harden is beyond me.

Looks like a clean hard foul to me.

But I haven't watched much NBA for years.

The swipe with his right arm is the dirty play. If Allen just goes up initially for the block with his left hand it would have been fine.

I have seen Ingram get ejected for basically nothing so I am glad they ejected him.

Didn’t look that bad. He was still going for the ball/hands in the second attempt. If he pushed him at or below his waste while he was in the air that would be a flagrant.

It looked like he pulled him down. The initial contact was fine but you can’t pull someone down like that

If they want to take hard fouls out of the game, remove the "and one".

If any other player did that it wouldn't be that big, but Grayson has a reputation that he deserves.

Seemed like a good follow followed by Grayson trying to make sure he didn't score. Dirty is not the word for that play

Dirty? No
Dangerous and reckless? Yes

The initial left hand was fine. The windup and swipe on the right hand/arm midair was not and absolutely pointless.

His history makes it an issue. The guy is a dirty player, period!
He always makes it a little “extra” on these disputed plays. People that played can see that…..it’s like he has a spaz reaction that he can’t control, it’s almost subtle….but it’s dirty!
I’m all for playing physical, the initial contact was fine. It was an aggressive play and ended up being a hard foul….reasonable folks are good with that. But you saw the rest, completely uncalled for

From your article, but let’s not let facts interfere with your anger

This was the first time Allen has been called for a flagrant foul this season and the second such foul in his career.

Ah yes, because there aren't a bunch of dirty plays you can find of him in the nba.

Dude has a rep. He needs to get his arse busted
