Coaches said harden is the tougher guy to handle.

Then Lowe added a "maybe this is why".

Let's be clear no coaches said that was the reason why.

He's tougher to handle because he'll goad you into 10 cheap ticky tack bullshite fouls per game.

hey said he is tougher to game plan against.

"Most assistant and head coaches I spoke to say, privately, that Harden is harder to game plan against -- that he's craftier, and less predictable than Westbrook's battering-ram approach. A lot of that stems from Harden having actual outside shooters around him. But I don't think that explains all of it, and even if it does, it is the reality with which we are presented."

Harden mightve actually got picked the most..and the one thing that coaches told me over and over again was we respect russ , hes unbelievable....harden is harder to game plan more, harden scares us more, hardens creatvity, his willingness to make an earlier pass off PNR, its just harder for us to deal with and plan for

no mention of ticky tacks homie.

Harden is tougher to handle because he's a better 3 point shooter. Westbrook being average from the 3 point line allows you to play more PnR coverages against him. Harden forces hard hedges and rearview coverages. You can't go under or slow play it because Harden will destroy you from out there. You can't go wrong with either player though. They are both unreal.

Kinda crazy, but this year is the one time that Harden is not a much better 3 point shooter

They are almost identical for the season in 3 point %

Harden is shooting a career low from 3, and WB is shooting a career high

Very true but Harden is most likely seeing coverages that make him shooting the 3 more difficult while Westbrook is being invited to shoot the 3. That being said Westbrook has been unreal.

Looks like they updated the confirmed voters to 30 now.

Tally:

Westbrook: 19 1st place votes
Harden: 7 1st place votes
Kawhi: 2 1st place votes
Lebron: 2 1st place votes

CNN should be calling this race soon...

I hate to say it, bc it is a CC site. But they are doing a poor job of tallying these votes. I've got it closer. Much closer to say the least.

Well, Westbrook already has a confirmed 20% of the first place votes, not a good look.

With only 30% total votes confirmed, right?

Not that 1st place votes are the sole factor but he only needs 20 of 70 remaining 1st place votes to get half of them.

O'Connor has Westbrook 3rd so that cancels out a first place vote. I've got it too close to call. reckon we'll see quite a few more harden 1, Russell 3, ballots coming in over the next few days. Kawhi is truly deserving of the 2 spot imho.

I'm looking on my phone so I may have made a counting error, and/or it's already updated. Anyways, I counted 31 first place votes, 16 second place votes, 8 third places votes, 8 fourth place votes, and 7 fifth place votes. That should be a total of 493 points.

I calculated 228 points for Westbrook (46%)and 148 for Harden (30%). Although it looks like Westbrook appears on 6 more ballots so if we gave Harden 7 more second place votes, then he would be up to 190.

Unless something crazy happens, Westbrook should win pretty easily.

Westbrook with 23/38 1st place votes so far, counting suspected voters.

Harden: 10/38
Leonard: 3/38
James: 2/38

yeah. he is going to run away with it.
