At least the NFL (if it happens) comes on major networks.
That's great. Goodell has had zero contribution as commissioner for placing the NFL on a wider distriubtion platform. Relative to what he inherited, Goodell has been horrible thus far.

I enjoyed the chorus of jeers he received at the draft. Usually akward moments like that make me cringe but that one was well accepted.

If Goodell is able to wring money from the players, he needs to pass it onto the fans. Its so freaking expensive to go to a game these days.

Goodell is failing miserably as Commish.
Adding games will further dilute the quality of play and likely increase injuries.
It will also likely shorten many player's careers. That is simply too much football when the game is more violent than ever before.
Additionally, with the stupid rule changes over the past few years and the ones likely still to come and the inconsistency of officiating, the game is changing for the worse and is becoming less enjoyable for me every year.

You want 18 games. Admit it. Rodger knows you want it, just accept it.
I now see why rodger took it easy on big ben, he too understands no means yes.

I also want to see helmet to helmet knock out shots on every play, steroids on the sidelines, and the endzone chalked with cocaine.

The NFL has become such a non story this offseason. Its already hurting the league IMO.
This.
College football's offseason with storylines about cheating stretching from last season and then being augmented with all the tOSU mess has completely overshadowed the NFL's lockout.
Does this mean that college football has taken over the NFL in terms of popularity now?

This guy is possibly the worst commish in the history of the NFL. His holier than thou attitude about anything and everything discipline related is taking the emotion out of the game very similar to the way the NBA has stifled the emotions of their players with the rules against even looking at a ref the wrong way after a bad call.
These "vicious hits" were starting to get out of control last season IMO. And I'm not talking about the hits themselves. Some of these so called vicious hits were about as vicious as my neighbors cocker spaniel puppy.
Were they hard hits?
Damn right.
Is that what we pay to see in the NFL?
Damn right.
I see the need to do something to combat the problem of concussions in the league, but leaving those decisions up to the sole discression of Goodell is BS. There needs to be a committee of players on both sides of the ball, defensive players AND offensive players, that helps decide this, along with some non-players. (if this already exists, then they need some new damn committee members)
I can honestly say, that I have never heard a commissioner of a professional sports name brought up 1/30th of the amount of times you hear about Goodell. He is putting himself in the spotlight when the players are supposed to be the ones in the spotlight. We dont pay to hear Goodell talk out of his arse, we pay to watch the players play football.
STFU and get out from in front of the TV, I'd rather watch my Raiders be the worst team in football than listen to you talk.
/end rant
