$100/month is less than 1 days rent. Or the price if half a starbucks a day. Or Miami it's about 5 drinks at a nice bar on 1 night out.

This is such a lame tireless argument by people that live in downtown big city areas. We’ve all been to a big city, we all know some bars and clubs are expensive. The average NBA or any pro team fan is not paying $15/ beer routinely at their watering hole. For every expensive bar in a big city there are 2 or 3 places that are basically the same price as the rest of the country or at least they have happy hours and deals.

A drink in a stadium is expensive no matter where you live.

The appeal to the $100/ month tickets to me is it gets you in the arena and there are always people leaving during the regular season. You get in and grab an open seat by your friends or from someone leaving.

200 of these in a 12,000+ seat stadium is almost nothing. My guess is they feel they can expand this significantly in the future and are just testing it out.

Aren’t you guaranteed viewing access with a SRO ticket?

no

Cowboys stadium is a great example of just getting a ticket to get in $40 a head and then your on your own.

Someone’s never been to Oakland.

, exactly. Ain't no one going to Oracle without explicit plans to be in the stadium.

It’s 100% not worth the hassle. But hey, if you want to say you were there, well, you were there.

If they were smart, they’d do like 100 people and make people prove their fandom on social media and give away the spots. That 20grand is a drop in the bucket for them. If the STH is pissed about freebies, they’d be pissed about 200 cheap paid ones too.

So more traffic and longer lines for the people who buy tickets?

These will be sold out in minutes and probably a hot commodity when the Warriors move to Mission Bay

It's a terrible deal for the consumer. I can't see what anyone would get out of it. You have to fight traffic, pay to park, pay for high arse concessions, wait in long lines for the restroom...all to watch the game on a TV screen

This is targeted to a specific demographic. Years ago I resided in downtown DC, walking distance to the Wizards arena. If the Wizards would have been Golden State good back then I would have definitely tried this out. Plus I could be door to door in 12 minutes, never paying for parking, and never sitting in traffic.

Also if you get access to the club lounge you are not waiting in long lines for food or restrooms.

They will easily sell these out when they move across the bay.
