The offense with trae dominating the ball was a better offense than any of the others. He didn’t have much help and also has a coach known to be a pitiful offensice coach. Trae is legit.

Reward? Sure if you want to consider games played when handing out rewards that's fine. But if you're having a discussion as to which players are "better", averages make more sense to use than totals (unless you are referring to a player who only played like 20 games or something).

Agree with this

Not sure he cracks that top 5, but I do think Trae Young is criminally underrated. I'm not even saying I'd put him ahead of a lot of dudes, as I stated he may not be top 5, but he puts up all the gaudy stats, does everything on offense, and has gone deeper into the playoffs than a few dudes that would be thought to automatically go ahead of him and gets shite on a good bit for some reason i'm not sure of.

I'd still put Luka over him and Curry(even though I never think of him as a PG) without hesitation.

Also, if you tell me I have 1 game for my life or 1 playoff series, I'm taking CP3 over Trae/Ja, even Luka...basically everyone not named Curry.

The super ball dominant thing is not a good recipe for the postseason, Russillo did a recent breakdown and has talked about it a lot recently. I think you have a better shot with Paul. Plus, compared to the super ball dominant dudes like Trae/Luka, Paul is not a complete defensive liability who is going to give back a huge portion of the points they're generating offensively. Ja does this too, but he's not the high usage guy but throw him in there too for shite defense.

And then there's 4th quarter CP3, so there's that too.

For primary ball handlers, Team turnover and turnover % is better than total turnovers. If he has the ball all the time and his team turns it over the least, that tells us what we are looking for. The other players with less turnovers handle the ball less.

such a weasel way of stating this stat here, and it's not the first time i've heard it, yet the other time i heard it, it was said in a similar way, which is rather misleading.

They do it this way because it helps them cope with trading Luka.

Not yet. He has a really, really bright future as long as his back problems aren't a recurring thing.

Define PG

is it the guy with the PG next to his name?
is it the guy that's short?

Jokic is more of a PG than Kyrie
Draymond averaged more assists this year than Curry.

Yes, Assists should be a point guard's most valuable attribute. Just because a guy handles the ball more than anyone else doesn't make them a point guard. Just because he's short doesn't mean he's one either.

Golden State starts two shooting guards. A guy like Steff isn't a scoring point guard. He's a shooting guard that handles the ball all of the time. Same thing with Ja Morat

Rename the position, but don't call that a point guard.

I agree, it does feel weird calling Steph a PG. He is the one to bring the ball up-court. But he doesn't really run the offense. He typically, brings it up court, if he doesn't have a 3-shot that he likes, then he'll pass it to Draymond at the top of the key initiating the offense, and Steph starts running around everywhere trying to get open.

Alright, here goes, I am ready for some controversy.

At this point in time, Trae Young is better than Steph.

Not only was Trae a better passer and scorer than Trae, his efficiency was better as well. Trae was actually better from 3 this year than Curry.

Trae this year has Curry beat in TS%, PER, and Win Shares.
