assuming he's rehabbed and back from the surgery, he should be the starting 2nd baseman IMO.

Andujar won't start at 3rd right away, but he'll get his audition at some point next season.

If it doesn't work out, they'll try to sign Machado.

And Hicks will start in the outfield opening day, no Frazier. Gardner might get traded. If not, it'll be a crowded outfield.

ETA: Also, decent chance Andujar is involved in this deal

Gardner starts in the OF and Austin starts at 3B to start the year... by the All-Star break both are replaced by younger options with Gardner getting traded which will upset me.

That would be fun to watch Judge and Stanton hit together. I want this to happen.

Stros will be good for a while, but not exactly scared considering how the Yankees worst team of the next 5+ seasons was one game away from the World Series, despite such inconsistent and at times shitty baseball throughout the season.

Yeah not sure how Astros fans think they're a powerhouse next year or future years. The Yankees, Sox, Indians, and random other teams will challenge. The Yankees took them to game 7 so it isn't like they dominated. I think the Yankees pitching is better next year than this with a still dominating pen.

I certainly didn't stutter... Astros are good we can all admit that but they have plenty of other teams just as talented in the AL

People thought the Braves would win more than once too. You just never know.

They are certainly in a position to contend for it all for years and years to come, though.

Contend- compete against other teams
Powerhouse- dominates

The playoffs are a total crapshoot anyway. The goal is to make the field and see what happens. The great teams don't always come out on top in a 5 or 7 game subset of a season.

The Astros should be in a favorable position to get into the playoff field. Beyond that, who knows.
