Georgia 2023 isn't Georgia 2021/2022. But Alabama is getting bonus points as if they were.

Georgia played a weak SEC East schedule, and a ridiculously weak OOC schedule.
A week ago Georgia struggled to beat Georgia Tech.
Alabama was smoked at home by Texas, needed a miracle brain cramp by unranked Auburn to win a week ago.
But Bama jumps 4 spots because they beat "Mighty Georgia" when Georgia really isn't all that this year.

I will hold my nose and pull for the SEC in the Rose Bowl, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Michigan wins, and maybe big.

Yet they were 12-0 coming into the game yesterday. Alabama was the last team to beat Georgia before the 29 game winning streak. And now they beat them yesterday ending their 29 game winning streak. Seems Alabama is the only team that can beat Georgia.

Georgia hasnt lost a regular season game in 3 years. It looks dumb to sit here & poormouth them. They're as good as any team in the country.

I thought Bama would win.
I know a lot of people that thought bama would win.
Not because Bama is great, but because Georgia was a paper lion living off 2021/2022.

The butthurtia over Bama getting is becoming embarrassing. Bama got better and better this year and are one of the 4 best teams in the country. Their offensive line is dominant.

I didn’t mean to lump you with any the other 99% of retarded LSU fans who didn’t think Alabama would beat Georgia.

They kept saying 29 games in a row and 2 national championships in a row as though it was even remotely relevant.

Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis aren’t coming through that door.

Bloody idiots.

The SEC has not been impressive this year. The eye test and OOC results show this.

Many talking heads and posters here keep talking about the Iron Bowl but omit that Florida State was trailing a 5-6 Florida team in Gainesville that same weekend. Records aren't as important in rivalry games.

I think Florida State should have been given a chance in the playoffs. The system was flawed before this season. Who can reasonably argue that Washington and Michigan are better than Alabama? There are too many qualities that could be evaluated to determine the 4 best teams, which is why an automated process might work, but people will never be satisfied.

They needed two brain dead Auburn plays in the last two minutes to beat a bad Auburn team last week.

This year, Georgia had glaring weaknesses on the defensive line, considerable inexperience at inside linebacker (especially once Dumas-Johnson got hurt), and a decent, but not consistently effective, running game.

These issues waere exposed a couple of times this year, but I honestly don't think the SEC was strong enough to fully exploit them until the Bama game.

I genuinely believe Michigan would have dominated time of possession against us. Washington's and Texas's balanced offensive attacks and strong defensive lines would have posed significant problems.

All college football teams are prone to a broad range of outcomes, no matter their talent level. Thus, it's not inconceivable that Alabama could do well in the playoffs. But the SEC is certainly not dominant this year, and a 12 team playoff could have resulted in significant and unexpected chaos.
