Gary Chouest should rebrand the team

It's time for a rebrand and for Chouest to really make this New Orleans' team. The Hornets have had a quasi homesless/vagabond history...Charlotte to New Orleans to Oklahoma City to New Orleans. It essentially became a generic brand that could adapt to its market. I can't think of anything better for our new owner to do than solidify this as New Orleans team.
IMO, he should bring back the Bucs name, colors(maybe green & purple), and brand. It was started in and has a history in New Orleans, not Charlotte.

Buccaneers is the best choice for a new name. It fits well with the history of New Orleans and we could abandon all that faggy Bee talk.

I agree, scrap Hornet as a name, but also screw ABA era Bucs as a name too(it's Tampa's NFL..leave it)..it sucks.
If NO can't get back Jazz..then time for a new name and brand and color scheme altogether.

I like Buccaneers and Brass from the names I've seen suggested. Pelicans may be good too.

I like Brass the best of those you list. But, there must be better options?
Why can't SLC call their team the Polygamists, Crisp-Clean-No-Caffeine, Missionaries, etc..and give back the Jazz name for cash and a player-to-be-named-later?

I guess. But its pretty much a done deal. It will be announced within a couple of days of the season being over.
