Why can't (or could not have?) NFL payers get there own insurance? Everyone else does. And along the same lines why not add in their contracts a disclaimer stating you may be severely injured to include later mental health issues? Hell I have to sign something saying I wont sue jumpzone if my kid breaks something.

Its completely unenforceable. Not worth the paper it’s written on.

You're going to drop the NFL because some retired players are threatening to no longer attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies?

You must really love the city of Canton.

Nah it's probably because the players are kneeling, but he's using this not to sound triggered

fricking this. I'm going to watch because I enjoy football. I don't give a shite who doesn't just stop being such whiny pussies about it. Watch or don't, just shut up.

Honestly its the replay every damn thing and the commercials on top of commercials that started it for me. I dropped cable and was forced to watch the games on air with an antenna. No DVR and it snowballed from there. Look don't be mad, I bet the NFL doesn't even broadcast games in the future. It will be highlights and fantasy points that keep people in it. "Hell Back in my day" Football was BETTER!!!

I love how people think they are signing something away.

Negligence is negligence.

Doesn't matter what you signed.

Or those stores that have those signs, "we are not liable, etc."

Uhm, okay.

Thing about athletes; they are shitty bitches as people. When their careers are over, they need the spotlight. Just enjoy them while they are playing, and tune them out when they are washed up.

Which is a sad indictment on the American legal system. We should never allow attorneys to be elected legislators.

It depends on the state. In many states, one can contract away one’s negligence claim in advance. In Louisiana you cannot agree in advance to waive your right to claim for personal injury resulting from the other person’s negligence.

But parents, even in states that allow negligence waivers, can’t waive negligence claims of their children in advance.

There's a reason they're not enforceable.

"You have to sign this waiver before you ride the ride."

Kid dies because they forgot a piece of the track.

"Welp, you can't sue us even though we fricked up and killed someone."

Funny thing is, on other social media platforms I see some of the same people talking about dropping the NFL then later in the season talking about the games and plays and certain players. It's almost like they're not actually doing what they say they will. And the guys I know who don't watch the NFL now barely watched it before, if at all.

It's both hilarious and disheartening regarding the human condition.
