Huge win tonight against Calgary. Just three points back

First to 80 is nice. First in the NHL is really sweet. The game was so sweet that Rinne tried to eat a puck.

Tyler Seguin is out for the foreseeable future after being on the end of a dirty shot from thug pos Dmitry Kulikov tonight. Here I was being happy for Florida for making a great season after being completely awful for the last decade, and they pull that shite. Just watched the post game presser and Lindy Ruff didn't want to say anything.
Eaves took a puck to the head, and Hemsky was injured in the game as well. None of the three were ont he plane to Colorado for Sat nights game.

The circumstances of the injury to Seguin, the team's scoring leader, bothered the Stars.
"It's a dirty shot," Ruff said of the hit, on which Kulikov went low against the unsuspecting Seguin. "You end up taking your best player out. Not only out of the game, but he's taken him out of the lineup for a little bit. We'll let the league deal with it."
Vernon Fiddler was more adamant.
"(Seguin)'s released the puck, and he comes across and takes his knee out. It's a gutless play on his part, and we'll have to deal with that at a later time," Fiddler said.

Wait what? Florida likely won't make the playoffs. Great season? No.
Didn't see the hit but adds injury to insult for an already terrible season for Dallas. Hate to see that.

5 of the Stars' next 8 are against western conference teams jockeying for playoff position, a stretch they really need to do well in if they're going to make a run at a wild card.
Now this roster full of underachieving retards is going to have to do it without their best player.
Where is Gordon Bombay when you need him?

Have Hockey Day in Canada on with the volume really low and am kind of dozing off. Thought I heard a couple goals scored really quickly -- Edmonton gave up a couple 16 seconds apart in the first minute of the second and got Fasth out of there. Just as I am typing this, Edmonton scores to get it to 3-2.

I mean, holy smokes. Now Ottawa adds another. And now a fight. That's four goals and a fight in the first four minutes of the second.

You do realize they're 4 points out from the 8 seed, when statistically speaking they are usually eliminated in November. I shouldn't say great, but far and away much better.

There is no shot in hell for the 8th seed considering the teams they are up against. Even so 8th seed is not great season material

That's really not a bad hit. It's a mistimed hip check. I don't think he intentionally went to hurt him. Suspension for 2 games maybe but in the past it would have been handled between the teams also.

So wait it's 50th anniversary of Canadian flag? Is that why were getting a bunch of Canada v Canada games today?

I really hope De La Rose goes off so Toronto will trade for him and give Phaneuf in return.
