You could see it coming a mile away, guys were gutted, they have nothing left, too many injuries and lost Pouliot in the 2nd to play with 5 defensemen once again.
They've lost 6 of 8 and had a lead of some kind in all 6 losses. Hope a few days rest helps them, but i have to think it's just the cumulative effect of playing shorthanded for so long -- be it the defensemen injuries, the mumps, concussions, etc. no one here in town really thought they were going to get the win tonight. too much to overcome.

Hey at least I still have the Mets, Jets, Huskers, and LSU to look forward to.

Big win for the Senators, but they really needed it to be in regulation. They now have two roadies against the Rangers and the Flyers. If they get 3 points in those games, all the Pens need to do is beat Buffalo, and they wouldn't be able to catch the Isles.
Senators still need to win out, and they most likely need the loser of the Pens-Isles game to lose their final game as well. Tall task.

Pretty much, can't be disappointed with a point but with the way it came about, tough to swallow.
Sounds like Ehrhoff may finally return next game at least, but if Pouliot's injury is bad then even that is a wash.
