Answered my own question. Tb has rushing and passing tuddys in three decades. Obviously it’s more impressive from gore given his position but still.

Frank Gore was a beast on my late 2000s fantasy teams

Insane he’s still playing and at a position where the life span is 30 minutes

Does Tom have a rushing td this season?

He does! did anyone from 1999, have a TD in 99' 2000' and 2010'? That's 3 decades as well.

That's with two ACL injuries to his left knee. I remember back in the day you had an ACL and your career was over.

If he averages 45 yards per game over the last 6 games of this season and 16 more for next season; he will pass walter payton for 2nd on the all time rushing list. Absolutely incredible the longevity

Is longevity a viable argument to make the HOF? Gore in his prime was very good but I don't think he was ever regarded as a top 3 back. There has to be something said for how long he has been doing this because of the short lifespan of RB's.

I think so even if it’s more lifetime achievement award. Surviving this long in the NFL as a productive back is a helluva thing. Played when you could still blow a MFer up on D and plays in the new era of no D.

And it happened a day after his son scored a TD for Southern Miss. Crazy.

I believe so. Also if you are the second leading rusher of all time and you earned those yards in the "passing era" that makes it all the more amazing imo

Father Time was undefeated until he met Frank Gore.

I'm surprised Gore has lasted so long because he hasn't statistically been that good for a while. Since the start of the 2015 season, there have been 44 players with at least 500 rushing attempts. Gore ranks 41st in rushing yards per carry among that group. Only Jonathan Stewart, Peyton Barber, and Alfred Blue have a lower yards per attempt.

If Jr gets to the NFL would that be the first ever father/son duo playing at the same time?

9 1000+ yard seasons with 7 1100+ yard seasons is good enough. He is like Curtis Martin basically. Definitely a shoe-in for the HOF, IMO.

He's going to have 20,000+ yards from scrimmage when its all said and done.
