When’s the last time Ferrari won a race though? 2017?

If you’ve got a legit bite at the apple you take it

2019 Singapore they took 1&2.

2020 is the first year they went without winning a race in a several years.

Went back to look, 2014/2016/2020 are their years without a victory this century.

Max is wining tomorrow. He’ll force CL into a mistake.

He will probably take Shawls off the line. Max, and the red bulls in general, have been great off the line.

Could happen and at any other track I’d agree but at Monaco with Ferrari being as good coming out of the corners as they’ve been CL should take it IMO.

If Max and RB had shown themselves to be masters of racing strategy here lately maybe I’d have a different opinion, but alas...

How hairy are starts at Monaco usually? I could see those two or that top 5 really screw it all up from the get go.

This might be a huge jinx but generally they're pretty tame. It looks almost impossible to avoid but I think it's been years since there was a major incident up front. Maybe some in the rear have had some troubles but not the front runners.

The run up to T1 is so short it's almost like there's no time to build enough speed.

Feeling like Ham is going to F up and put his car into the wall tomorrow. He’s struggling hard this weekend.

Historically, very. I think I remember a stretch in the 90's and early 2000's in which there was an incident in the first corner. They've since modified the start location, but it's still a skinny old track.

Max has been excellent on starts/restarts this season. I think he could get by Charles and give himself the upper hand

As long as it isn't Hamilton.

In recent history it doesn't seem too bad. T-1 could definitely see Max "get his elbows out" and push Shawls off the track like in the past.

So why is Monaco this weekend and not next like usual? Calendar quirk?

Some scheduling thing. Obviously Memorial Day isn't a thing in Europe so the Holiday doesn't mean much to them. Never heard an offical reason, but I guess covid threw it around. There have been a couple years where Indy and Monaco didn't line up.

It is a cool reminder that the Indy 500 used to earn FIA points for the drivers championship.

Monaco has never consistently ran on Memorial Day weekend.

It most commonly does, but I would say at least one season in five it does not.
