Where are you boys hearing them on the radio? I don’t get those channels in Baton Rouge I don’t think lol

I’m impressed by how Lewis has handled this. He’s not nearly the a-hole he’s made out to be and a fierce and worthy competitor that’s an asset to the sport.

He took his car to the pits versus parking it with the other two podium finishers.

He's a bitch.

It’s the personality style you have to have to be successful at that level I believe. You need to feel like the world is against you. You need the fuel.

It was discussed way back in this thread about Lewis and his tire talk. Someone elsewhere broke down the code that the Merc strategist and him use. The relation to whether he will use up all the tires or maintain the distance. His talk of tires always comes right before a push lap.

Think it was last week where they told him to move his wheel selector to the color tire he wanted to swap to next.

F1TV has all the radios.

The world feed usually only shows the leaders or something major said. They all piss and moan over the radio, Lewis just gets more coverage.

An Indian f2 driver a few years ago was literally crying over the radio because of car issues. shite was heartbreaking.

The sport really has reached just intricate strategies. These drivers besides being fast have to be so mentally sharp now. Wasn’t always like this.

Max said he isn't taking part in DtS, so he will be even more villainous.

Yep. The 1000 person teams have closed off the sport some. The driver door doesn't revolve as much because you need a good driver and not necessarily a great driver. They need to know the team.

The strategies are some of my favorite parts though. Why I would love refueling to come back.

Link to the Indian driver's radio. I didn't follow F2 that closely then, but what I gather is his emotions were 100% justified. Ruined his shot at F1 being on that team.

Not sure how good he really was though.

Oh I would love to see refueling stops come back. I also think the increased use of safety cars is to throw team strategies off which is great. I don’t remember nearly this many SCs 20 years ago. Tech and money trying hard to close off the sport and the rules trying to make it more fun and unpredictable.

It's red flags for me. They seem to happen a lot more often these days.

Yeah wrecks used to happen all the time and unless there was major debris on the track, crews would just handle it as the race continued.

I think too that it comes across worse than it's really intended. They're going 180 mph and pulling insane Gs while trying to talk on the radio with a water hose right there all while fiddling with the wheel buttons and trying not to die.

So what does everyone want to see next year?

Clarification on battles into a corner? You are only penalized if both drivers go off?

Red flag rules with tires? Back of the grid or like tires?

No more sprints? (We can wish).

Bring back engine modes?

White line is off the track, no if ands or buts?

97 days to go...I think.

Prost and Schumacher are chuckling at this.
