You might want to forward your data to RBR and the FIA. Because there was no transmission to Hamilton.

If you read the decision it says neither driver wanted to hit the DRS line first. Ham knew.

Red Bull was really only seeing equal pace on the softs all weekend. The Mediums and Hards showed Merc with a large advantage.

The stories that leak out now about Todt and Schumi are so amazing. Real look inside a killer team.

I'd be interested in reading those! Got some links?

Podcast work for you?

Bring back the V10's podcast have a few different episodes. S2 E4 about Austria 2002 is great.

Spotify

another quick article on the mind games famous in the team

Nico talking about how Michael acted when he got to Merc is classic. Michael never addressed the other driver's car/setup/style when in front of the other driver. He just pretended like they didn't matter.

Exactly. He has to have known, or else he'd have jumped to the inside and passed Max as he was slowing and keeping right.

Maybe you older guys can answer this but why was Hamilton on hards just as fast if not faster thanMax was on mediums? Seemed like all week both cars were pretty evenly matched and max was potentially even faster if he doesn’t crash in qualifying. Just don’t really understand why he wasn’t able to pull away a little bit early on.

Merc had an advantage on hards and mediums and Red Bull had an advantage on softs. Pretty clear from the practices that was the way it was going to go. Red Bull needed to grab pole. The collision at the end of Q3 was massive and forced RB to have to gamble all day. While the decision not to pit paid off (how did Mercedes not see that coming?), the decision to switch to mediums didn't work out in the end.

All the talk of the collision is immaterial. No way Max would have kept Hamilton at bay on those tires at the end. Honestly, trying to do defend later in the race might have had an even worse outcome than finishing second.

What was he doing behind him to begin with. He could have shot past Ma at any time.

He obviously knew, and was playing the detection zone game.

Max had to give him the position. He doesn't have to give it to him at a time of Hamilton's own choosing. Again, that's absurd.

Max didn't have to brake check him, but he did. There is no way around that. Telemetry shows he made a dirty move.

Max let the pressure get to him today and it showed several times.

Good points. How do you see Abu Dhabi going? Seems like it’s Hamilton’s to lose at this point. Probably 60/40 Hamilton.

Link? RB said their data shows nothing unusual.

Also, even if he did, Ham should have been passed. Max could have been breaking to get him ahead just prior to DRS zone. Nothing wrong with breaking I’d you think your opponent is going around you.

Okay for once FIA did a pretty good job of explaining why they are giving Max a 10-second penaly for brake checking Lewis and why they didn't penalize Lewis for running into the back of Max.

The second time this weekend they have spelled out their intentions. Kind of like this method.

Well this is an asinine statement if you have any concern at all for driver safety.

As I've said before, if you want to go over and literally ride on Hamilton's dick, he'd probably be into it.

Max shouldn't have braked.

It seems the stewards are pretty lenient about giving spots back. Max should have just driven through the whole drs zone and then given the place back later on.

Id love to hear the full mercedes radio conversation. After seeing the report its obvious they knew and didnt want to overtake in that zone.
