So it looks like Max goes and feels around his wing, then goes and checks the Hamilton’s wing. Was he doing a very scientific measurement comparison?

What’s that video show?

His wing “very open?”

If he is in DRS zone and it’s within specs, what’s it matter?

Saw a post on r/f1 that cars in park ferme should not be allowed to be modified by hand, which might kill Mercs argument against Max.

Can’t modify, adjust, or inspect… the intent of that I’m sure is for teams not to try to bring their cars back into spec if they were out during race.

Ham should be DSQ and Max should be hand slapped or given a few grid place penalty at the most.

There is a limit in how much it can open.

Maxs wing looks broken and flapping almost.

But really F1 is all about pushing the limits of the rules. I would assume all teams, except haas, are "cheating" in some way. Its just if they ever get caught. Lol. Will be interesting to see what the punishments are.

But I’m sure his car was inspected just as Hamilton’s was. If it’s within specs, a video doesn’t mean shite.

It’s an attempted gotcha that doesn’t seem like much.

For sure. I love the loopholes and questionable designs. I can't imagine what kind of cheating goes down on the software side of things.

I agree. And it could just be the video but it looks the "honda" on his wing flaps at random like its broke and not intentional. Which shouldnt be a gotchya, should just be a fix the part and move on.

What time will we get a ruling? You’d think any min Bc FP2 is in 90 min.

frickery inbound

quote:

More from Craig Slater on Sky Sports News "This is a big, big question for the stewards. It's a simple matter: Does the gap between those two plates on the rear wing exceed the permitted limit? It's a very cut and dry thing, because it is the responsibility of Mercedes to make sure that gap was no more than 85mm. "That's why I'm questioning, why is this taking so long, why have Mercedes been summoned in again at 1.30pm to speak to the stewards? I think it's because of the magnitude of all of this. "From a Mercedes perspective, a source tells me that this is a tried and tested wing design which has passed numerous tests, which was tested in advance of this event and which was identical to Hamilton's team-mate Valtteri Bottas' rear wing. "Bottas' rear wing was found to be compliant, so it begs the question what has happened to Hamilton's rear wing."

Max’s is done… He said “I can’t say anything right now, we will see” after leaving…

Merc in with them currently.

The notion that Max somehow must’ve knocked Lewis’ wing out of spec is pretty absurd. These wings take probably hundreds of pounds of force at speed but somehow Max was able to get it out of spec with his bare hands?

How do we know he touched the wing and didn't just measure with his fingers w/o touching anything? I can't tell from any of those videos I've seen on twatter what he did.
