Haha, Bottas shite the bed this week. Dude was straight garbage for the whole GP other than getting pole. He raced Hamilton into turn 1 rather than pushing Max wide.
If he wants to know why he lost his ride next year, this race is a perfect example. Bottas was garbage the whole race. Couldn't even pass Danny.
They paid him 10MM and he couldn't trap a pig in a ditch.

It didn’t matter where Bottas was. The track was too wide for Mercs to keep Verstappen at bay with his slipstream. Had Bottas gone wide, Verstappen would attack the middle. Max predicted third would be better than second after qualifying.
And neither Merc had the balls Max had to brake so late. That was crazy good by him and the reason he won and the first turn.
Regardless, no one was stopping Max today.

Bottas didn't even try to squeeze him. He gave Max a ton of room and didn't try to challenge him.
I agree though. Max has the better car and is doing what a champion does, winning with it.

I think it came down to if they bring him in just a kap earlier then he gets 2nd but instead I think he and the team wanted him to lead a lap for pride reasons.

But I hope that was not what dictated their strategy. The symbolism is nice, but when a 1-2 finish would give you the lead in the Constructors, go for the jugular and leave the sentimental stuff at the door.
