It's been done before, fairly recently(last year maybe). Only thing that stinks is if they do that quali would air super early, probably about 1am or so locally.

Hulk is done except for maybe a covid drive.

Agreed, but Hulk deserves an F1 seat before Bottas does.

I don't understand Hülkenberg. Always highly rated, and he tasted sweet victory at Le Mans. But his F1 career just didn't pan out. Apparently he has by far the most F1 starts without a podium:
So why does he stick around F1? He can go win races in sports cars. He can follow Grosjean and many other washed-up F1 drivers and prove himself in IndyCar, and have a lot more fun than being an F1 backmarker.
Most F1 drivers say they're not in it to just drive around, they want to win races. I don't understand the motivation to stick around in a series where you can't even get a random podium.

As of December 2020, Hülkenberg holds the record for the most Formula One career starts without a podium finish, a record he broke when he failed to finish in his 129th race (the 2017 Singapore Grand Prix) and in so doing passed Adrian Sutil's previous record of 128; Hülkenberg's record stands at 179 Grands Prix.

Hulkenberg is incredibly likeable, but it just wouldn’t make sense to pick him over a up and coming driver.

Money, prestige, dream, hope...
Along the lines of saying you would play in the CFL if you couldn't make it to the playoffs every year in the NFL.

Max to start last... Took his new Power Unit, sounds like a whole overhaul.

He had the grid penalty anyway, it only made sense to do everything at once.
If checo can take that car from last to top 10, then max should be able to take it all the way to the front.
I thought the word was that hamilton was going to take a new power unit as well this race?

Still lots of questions about when quali will happen. Might be later on Sat or delayed until Sun.
The commentators during FP2 even brought up that Max may not run during quali (or may just run a slow lap and bow out) as to not risk the car if the track is wet.

First thought when he said "Man, magic" was to imagine Gob Bluth driving an F1 car

Glad he's okay so we can laugh about it.

Toto said it wasn't a definite. Since Max was forced into the situation they probably figured Hamilton would be a lock to get maximum points just by starting at the front with Max having to pass the whole field.

Hamilton will have to take that penalty at some point. Would be fun to watch he and Max start 19/20

Looking forward to some interesting strategery.

Chance of rain is 100% for tomorrow, but clear on Sunday from what I recall.
Will be awesome to see Quali at 4am our time and then a race at 7

Maybe quali in the wet and mix up the starting grid for Sunday.

FP3 was cancelled due to rain.
Looks like conditions are improving for quali to happen
