He's the one using his position to bring attention to what he wants others to focus. I don't fault him, I'm simply recognizing whom he wants to be known. I'm actually helping him to promote what he's interested. I don't hate the guy. Remember what your mom said about assuming.

Some of you people are weird. F1 is the best racing circuit and the drivers and great. Dude takes a knee, he's not bugging me. There a lot of ignorance in the world.

I’m referring to people calling him Floyd Hamilton etc. there’s no place for that. Also Schumacher used to plain ram his car into Hill’s when losing. He didn’t nearly get the grief Hamilton gets from the true haters just because they don’t agree with him.

Let it go. He's advertising and I'm acknowledging. Advertising works. That's why F1 cars and drivers are adorned with logos. And for the final time, for those who have their sensitivities in a bunch, I do not hate Floyd Hamilton. He's a nice young man and an excellent race driver.

Because he's a hypocrite that makes 50+ million a year.

Someone finally explained to him that he cant complain about global warming when he owned a private jet.

Probably that blonde that caters to his every need.

When I start seeing the same criticisms directed towards Seb all this reasoning will have merit.

Hamilton is sanctimonious, and fake.

That’s the problem. No one truly believe he cares a whit about these causes.

Hamilton is actually very likeable when he’s just talking about racing. You can see that he truly loves the sport

If he was just himself like that, all the time, he wouldn’t get half the grief.

When did this turn into 2012? What does Seb have to do with this?

You know I heard Fangio was an arse to the officials?

I actually agree that calling him Floyd is dumb. But I’ve seen one person do it and that’s in this thread. And I think he’s doing it just to piss people off.

I disagree. I believe he cares. But he is coming from a position for jaw-dropping hypocrisy and is in denial about the F1 world he lives in.

There is no overlap between liberal politics and F1. Enormous amounts of fossil fuels are consumed to transport the circus around the globe. Large amounts of fossil fuels are consumed at each event for our entertainment. Even with the hybrid power units I'm seeing estimates of 6 mpg. Many tires are consumed rapidly at each event, but at least they are recycled and not just thrown in a pile. Under Bernie, cash ruled, so we saw races being hosted by brutal two-bit dictatorships (see Bahrain) and media-cleansed shite shows like China.

You can't spout liberal politics and be in F1 at the same time. That's the problem.

Seb is pretty outspoken on BLM and global warming.

I think more people just seek out the Hamilton messages, or maybe reporters are more likely to ask him about those subjects, so people single in on his comments.

The guy that’s currently won the title seven times in a row will sometimes have that happen? Huh? Especially when HE is the one seeking it out?

So is the problem is just that you notice Hamilton more?

Because I really don't see anyone criticizing people such as Seb who say the same thing.

Literally no one likes him. Won it 4 times in a row and you wouldn't even know it.

That’s probably a big part of it.
I think Drive to Survive has been huge for F1 overall and Seb was essentially a nonfactor by the time it all came out.
Ham and DannyRic have been the faces of D2S so yeah it probably does play into it.

Vettel is hugely private. Despite being a famous driver.

I read an article morning that details how ExxonMobil has developed a new oil lubricant for the Honda engines which allow them to run hotter for longer so they can extract more engine performance.

Motorsport.com - How secret cosmetics chemical is helping Red Bull's F1 charge

quote:

"These new components were incorporated as they were found to offer many benefits, including stronger interactions with metal surfaces and lower friction, helping deliver maximum power while offering protection and fuel efficiency. "These benefits also translate into an ability to run the engine across a wider range of operating conditions."

You know there is some science on the fluids side of this when there are special bans on things like the flammability of coolant.

Danny Ric was doing some Q&A with some kindergartners and one asked, "What kind of gas does your car run on?" And he had no idea.

Thought some of you would find this interesting...

McLaren does a fan Q&A after every race and there are usually some good technical questions that get answered. It does skew towards McLaren but some of the answers probably apply to all teams...

The link below is updated every week after a race. You can scroll down and see all the Q&A from all the races.
