I don't have hate for Floyd Hamilton. He's a very great race driver. His brief post race comment was interesting about the new success RB has found a of late. No need for assumptions. It's unbecoming.

Okay, Mr. Calls-him-Floyd-Hamilton. We won't assume anything.

People can hate him all they want but he’s a 7 time champion and arguably one of the greatest ever. He’s headed towards his down years and yet still just a hair away from winning most races.

He literally said that he wants their straight line speed and said he didn't know if it came from engine gains or low downforced wing. If you follwed the news this week you know that RBR has given conflicting info on where the gains have come from.

He congratulated the team for the gains and wants to replicate it. Compared to 2016 Lewis he is a complete gentleman.

I could only imagine the melt of Lewis were cursing and swearing like Max was on the radio while clearly dominating the race.

Max swearing today was sign he was a champion. Lewis saying anything is whining. Yikes.

RBR is faster on the straights, top speed, and the fast corners. Short straights and some medium speed corners are the only place Merc holds an advantage.

You're just making shite up now.

Mercs only 1/2 quali was because Max had his much faster quali lap DQ'd.

Perez has finished above both Mercs only twice this season, Monaco and Azerbaijan, and both of those involved significant incidents. Every other race, he's lost to at lest one of them.

You just want to make funky punk love with Hamilton. He's into it, you know.

Please...please. take the opinon that RBR has the slower car. Because you would be the only person in the sport to have that opinion.

Not that blueboy isn't the hidden savant of F1, but no one, that holds any technical weight in F1 has your opinion.

You are belittling everyone at RBR that managed to build a superior car by crediting Max with the entire reason for their success.

Just accept that RBR finally delivered a superior car to Max so his talent could shine.

We are watching two drivers in the kist evenly matched cars possible have a great battle. Enjoy it rather than shitting on nominal stuff.

Just saying that RBR stepped up in the final year of the formula and made a killer car. That is something new for me to see. They should be commended.

Max will probably go down as one of the all time great drivers, but RBR fricking killed it this year when so many others are mailing it in.

There’s no shame in driving a fast car when all these years Hamilton had that clear advantage over the field. Moreover guys like Verstappen help improve the car that’s really built to their driving styles.

No doubt. Discounting driver prowess in development is ignorant. Some drivers can give great detail to help the engineers develop superior equipment.

There are definitely instances of the fastest car not delivering the drivers title, but with talent like Hamilton or Verstappen a title is guaranteed with the best car.

Senna jumped between fast cars because he knew what accentuated his talent.

So next week's race is back here at the same track with no changes besides the name?

The tire sets for last weekend's Styrian GP were C2-C3-C4.

The tire sets for this weekend's Austrian GP will be C3-C4-C5, the softest set available.

Last year the selection for both races at the A1 Ring were C2-C3-C4, so going to the softest set is new for this year.

With last weeks's "medium" tire now the "hard" tire, I really hope that this means a two-stop strategy for everyone. I hate one-stop races. A C5-C3-C5 strategy for the Q3 guys (C4-C4-C5 for everyone else?) would be fantastic.

Last week:
C4 = 26 to 31 laps
C3 = 27 to 41 laps
C2 = 36 to 47 laps

Side note: Last year's two races at Silverstone used C1-C2-C3, then C2-C3-C4. I don't remember how that affected the strategies for those two races.

Didn't Hamilton finish one of the Silverstone races last year on three tires?

I think it was the first one. Several cars had blowouts that day. It was hot as balls and they went super long on the tires because of a safety car.

Lewis gets shite on because he’s won literally everything, has a team that will literally shut down the second fastest guy (Bottas) if necessary, has had the fastest car, and the best on track management for seven straight years… and if anyone beats him ever, the first thing he usually does is make a borderline, are they possibly cheating comment about his opponent or immediately make an excuse about the tires.
It would be like if Tom Brady kept making insinuations of cheating when he lost a Week 12 game when his team is 11-1.
It comes off as bellyaching when you are literally the GOAT in the middle of total domination.

Max cussing is nothing like it. He is usually mad at himself or the car or his team for fing up. But he doesn’t get out of the car and insinuate the mercs are somehow not within regulation or immediately blame the tires.

Don’t be obtuse. The shite Lewis gets is deserved.

He’s still the GOAT. And he’s still bitchy.

And he didn't do either of these. He said RBR had worked hard to get where they were and Merc needs to do the same.

The only questioning HAM did was whether the speed came from the engine or the wing since both have been referenced as the source of the gains now.

Correct. He’s done that very recently. Which is why you are seeing comments like “humble Lewis” or “mature Lewis”.

I’m more referencing the last two-three years.

And the history is why people are making more of the seemingly benign recent comments.

It's just sad to see people run to critique what HAM says after Max dominates a weekend.

I'm glad to see champions still have fire in them, it shouldn'tbe condemned. Seb poking at Merc drivers was the best entertainment in their early dominate years. Schumacher's mind games with Nico while at Merc show he still had that mentality. Alonso's last year team radio with Mclaren.

I don't see a former champions as whining because they are being critical and don't think they should just be happy they have won before. They want to win every time, that is why they are the best.

I think Hamilton’s political and social stands run a lot of people the wrong way. His success on the circuit then triggers them more because it doesn’t reconcile easily for the haters. Schumacher was actually worse when losing. Most champions hate losing.

I think people understand winners and how they can come across as assholes or whiners when they don’t get exactly what they want or deserve. Schumacher Lauda.

That’s why I’m surprised the people on here that make lame excuses for Lewis. No one says he’s not the GOAT. People still think he’s the best current driver or at worst even with Max. He’s still the face of F1.

But act like a little bitch and then get called on it and it’s like the world hates Lewis. No bro. You’re just acting like a bitch when you have nothing to complain about. It’s competition. You’ve just forgotten what it’s like when that competition is actually good.

And scootering over to the official to complain is just a bad look overall.
