Hamilton I thought was gracious for a change. Gave it his all and did pretty well all this considered.

I'm left wondering, though, if he's going to throw his team under the bus. A fresh set of tired and then, who knows? May have been a different race.

He made the comment that he sees the only chance was trying to go long.

I admire Nico for winning, and leaving.

Nico cried on the radio and refused to race Hamilton. Lucky for Nico Merc reliability was bad for Hamilton that year. Nico didn't once beat Hamilton in a battle. He just repeatedly crashed into him to try and protect his title run.
Spin on. If Hamilton was that much better, it wouldn't have been close.

Nico has played ball since, though. It's why he has a nice commentary gig.

Made him quit by losing to him?

How many championships did each win while teammates

Nico threw the towel in bc he was burnt out

Ham made him call it a career trying to compete at that level

If you believe some of the rumors they did.

Neither have confirmed nor denied the incident.

Recent stories have said that their relationship is being repaired, which is good.

The Drive to Survive Netflix show is what got me hooked to F1. Another thing NASCAR should think about doing, marketing their stars

NASCAR would rather virtue signal about how progressive they are by promoting trash like Bubba Wallace, ruin the traditional championship standings via the “chase”, alienate their core fan base by calling them rednecks and move races to shitholes like California and Illinois than try to promote their sport properly. Dale Sr never would have allowed this shite to happen had he lived, the damage the France family has done to NASCAR is so deep I don’t know how they crawl out of it. They are doing well adding more road races but the tickets are still overpriced and the racing is shite with how standardized the cars are.

Meanwhile F1 has a minute long prerecorded message about equality and racing as one.

I believe Bottas was instructed to keep up with Hamilton to put pressure on Verstappen.

Really loved this race.

It has been refreshing so far to see Lewis not have the title locked up at this point in the season.

Will be really interesting to see how much shite Bottas is willing to take. He is gone after this year, does he start imploding the team with how he has been treated, similar to him providing a tow last year to Max in quali?

2017 was about the same as this year. Merc didn't really take the lead until 10 or so races in.

Ferrari played a big part in collapsing that year as well.

My BIL & SIL live in Roanoke, TX about three miles from Texas Motor Speedway. They had season tickets every year and my Bil would travel to Talledega and Daytona for NASCAR.

Not anymore. BIL took all his NASCAR memorabilia in his garage out and sold it to a collector shop. Said the whole Bubba Wallace / BLM / No more true stock cars has ruined it for them.

I really don’t know what bottas is complaining about. Perez was on a one stop and roared past him no problem. So why the bitching?

Bottas thought he should be on a two stop. He didn't have the pace to make that work either, but when the race doesn't go the way you want then you can blame the team for not doing what you wanted.

The same thing happened in Monaco with HAM.

I’d say Austria probably favors Red Bull a bit, Mercedes could be in for a rough few weeks.
