Pit strategy question.

Merc won Barcelona with it. RB today.

Wouldn't it make sense that if one team pits "unexpectedly" that the other should pit on the next lap? Keeps them basically at level and it all comes down to car and driver?

I used to watch a lot of NASCAR, but the cars being ugly and stage racing sucks.

Also a me thing, but all the drivers I grew up watching are retired and none of the newer guys were likable enough.

The Drive to Survive Netflix show is what got me hooked to F1. Another thing NASCAR should think about doing, marketing their stars

Merc didn't have the car to pull that off. Track position was their only card to play.

You could but often times you use pit stop strategy to offset slower car.

Bottas calling him out is gonna leave a mark. In fairness tho Perez cruised by Bottas on the same strategy

Thanks.

I know I'd want one as an F1 driver, but damn that's an ugly fricking trophy.

Eh. Perez pitted pretty late. It wasn’t really the exact same strategy.

Not really, Perez went long on the first stint so he had fresher tires.

Yeah Perez was on a one stop. Bottas needs to admit some fault here.

It’s not that simple. Perez pitted late enough to not have issues with the Hards.

Ham made Nico quit and Nico has never gotten over it.

Hamilton I thought was gracious for a change. Gave it his all and did pretty well all this considered.

Made him quit by losing to him?

Nico was asking why he didn’t ‘block’ max on the overtake but not sure you can with that speed difference. Max was over a second a lap faster at the end.

Nico has said he mentally couldn't stay at the level to compete. Needed team orders to win the title.

Nico cried on the radio and refused to race Hamilton. Lucky for Nico Merc reliability was bad for Hamilton that year. Nico didn't once beat Hamilton in a battle. He just repeatedly crashed into him to try and protect his title run.

Nico was and is a little bitch.
