Apparently Hamilton said something along the lines of "They are doing everything to stop me" in his postrace interview.
Hamilton really cannot stop himself from being a childish, insufferable twat.

Interesting story spinning up about the penalty being leaked before the race start.
Apparently, the stewards let some people (media) know through backchannels that HAM would be penalized. Then took at least 25 minutes to release the news through proper avenues. At the time HAM was going to get 4pts to his superlicense which would disqualify him from German GP.
Also, stewards have now removed the penalty points given to HAM.

Remember Vettel being an insufferable twat in Canada when he was yelling after his 5 sec penalty and saying 'they are stealing the race from us'?

I won 8 of 12 prop bets on this race! Now I only bet a dollar on each prop but

That's a good record.
What are F1 prop bets like?

Will the safety car be deployed. Top 3 finish. Top 6 finish. Top 10 finish. Which racer will have the fastest lap. What team will have the fastest lap.
I did a bunch of top 10 finishes, safety car, and Mercedes with the fastest lap.

HAM gonna HAM and Williams gonna Williams. I'm still a little confused on the HAM penalties and feel they were a little harsh. :putsontinfoilhat: Almost seems a little forced to create drama.

So you made $2 on your $1? I can't imagine the odds of that bet being a big payday.

The details of where to do the practice starts called out a specific area. Hamilton broke part 2 of the area description. Then broke again on another practice start the following reconnaissance lap. No doubt he broke the rules. Others have been penalized before, others have been ignored.
The team told him he was fine to do his starts there and it wasn't a choice he made on his own, which is why the penalty points were removed.

It was mentioned by some that the penalty should have been handed out before the race started as there was plenty of time to hand it out. Were there some sort of advantage to other teams or even individuals (betting repercussions) knowing Merc would be handed the penalty only after the start. Not sure the logistics of all that, but since you have your tinfoil hat on and all it is worth thinking about.
Also Leclerc doing Leclerc shite and not even getting investigated

Yes.
But there’s some great odds on drivers finishing in the top 10. I had Kimi in the top 10 and I think that payed 10:1. I made like .24 on Hamilton finishing in the top 10. But I’ll take that 24 cents

I dunno. He was in the racing line with everyone else. I guess he could have yielded but Stroll was in a bad spot.

I don't think he should have been penalized, looks like a racing incident on the first lap.
Just saying it wasn't even under investigation. Which is surprising.

It sure looked like Stroll drifted into LeClerc's position.
And frick Hamilton. What a whiny arse bitch he is. He could learn a lesson from Riccardo.

It's almost frame for frame Albon v Ham from Austria earlier this year.

Is Hamilton liked at all on the circuit?
The reason I ask is Bc I follow all of the drivers on IG and there’s lots of them traveling and hanging out together, but never Hamilton. Seems like nobody likes him, just like the fans.

Apparently him and Gasly are somewhat close. They play call of duty pretty often. Gasly even said that HAM helped him a lot in covid with career type decisions and stuff.
In press conferences everyone seems to get along good. Vettel and Hamilton seem to genuinely like each other as well.
I don't think Kimi likes him, but I have nothing to back it up. Just doesn't seem like the kind of person Kimi would hang with.

I don’t care for Vettel much either. He acts like a brat more often than not.
